Hello
I'm sorry for asking this again, can't find my old post.
I know that there are CM's that are out with Night Vision Glasses at AKV for us to see the animals.
Are there any other locations that we can get some glasses for the rooms? Does Owners Locker rent them?
Sorry i couln't remember the answers that were given a while back.:confused3
Thanks in advance for your help! :thumbsup2

The only night vision glasses that I know of at AKV are the public use ones offered by the lodge each night. You can't take them back to your room.

You might want to check out getting the eyeclops night vision binoculars for $50. They work pretty well, it says you can see about 50 feet. My son has them and I've enjoyed using it as well. We got ours from QVC. Don't get arrested looking into other rooms.;)

Wow, I think my DH and BIL will love that. I'll have to check it out.

Actually I can't find any about scopes. Are you being funny Liferbabe?

I thought that i heard that Owners Locker rents scopes a while back.... that's why i was questioning this.... But, when i go to the OL site, there is no mention of this anywhere.
For those that have rented from there, did you just send a message to John? What were the rental costs?

These might be good for a one time option but likely better to rent them if you can. A decent pair of night vision binoculars will start at around $200 and quickly to up from there from what I've seen. This would be a reasonable investment for the right situation but not for most of us.

The CMs at the Jambo pool said their night vision goggles cost about $3500, but they were looking into less expensive ones. I like the CMs because they are animal keepers and have great stories about the animals. We learned the ankole cattle hanging out near our Kidani room were there because they were afraid of the wildebeest!

Yah, I did some shopping for googles this weekend and found they could get quite expensive rather quickly. How fast were the CM's? ;)

When I was at Jambo, sunset savannah, I saw during one feeding time, the zebra got here first, then the ankole cattle took over (zebra afraid of the cattle?) but then the wildebeast came along and the ankole cattle left. But the Zebra must be friends with the wildebeast because they were both eating together... It was fun watching my own nature show!
