Since it's a whole new world now that we are finally seeing night time shows/fireworks return, I was wondering if anyone knows if there are going to be designated areas for viewing for folks with disabilities?

I know there used to be spots roped off in Hollywood Studios and Epcot, but has anyone heard anything lately?

I have not heard anything I know before covid they got ride of the Hollywood studio one. MK had two places for firework infornt of the hub grass on both sides. EPCOT had a few spots. My guess is they will have something but that is just a guess will not know until they start. I will be there the end of September so I can let you know then if no else goes before me.

The one at Hollywood Studios didn't really work out well. The point of these are to ensure that you can see the fire works instead of people's rear ends, so getting rid of the Hollywood Studios one makes sense given that it didn't accomplish that goal.

the CM said too many people complained about it. so the make since

Also, the show at HS became completely projection-based, and more and more about using effects like lasers. Very little in the way of actual "fireworks" like we saw at EPCOT and MK. By the time they did the last "Jingle Bell, Jingle Bam!" Christmas show at HS, (Jan 2020) there were just a few fireworks set off the roofs, almost like exclamation points, rather than anything approaching a total show. For that last show that we saw, they moved all the mobility users literally to the front row, and we were uncomfortably close to the projections - and our view was *still* hampered by shrubbery! LOL

I think eventually they will get HS sorted - it's just a work in progress LOL

That's great.... I didn't realize there was already a thread when I started this one... perhaps we all just let this one die and move to that one.... or am I the only one that isn't already there? LOL

I'm not there... 😢 But I want to be! 🙃 LOL.

Unfortunately I am not able to visit MK for HEA tonight. When my sister and I got back to MK at 7 tonight the rain was coming down and there was a bit of lightning. My sister used an EVC and is on a portable oxygen concentrator so we could not chance the rain causing issues.

I'm so sorry you had to miss the fireworks tonight! Hope you still get to see it!

Our favorite spot for illuminations was the HA area over by Germany. I hope that not only does it stay HA designated but also that the view of the new show is good from that perspective. In theory it should be good from anywhere around the lagoon but you never know.
