Night time, no parks

DSis's SO was born abroad, and doesn't "get" comedy. The clubs at PI don't appeal to them. They would like to do something together at night that doesn't require admission. SO is not a Disney fan, but is only coming because we will be having a Disney Photographer take some pictures of the family. It's our DGC's first time at WDW!

All I can think of is the Campfire Program. The movie is Cinderella, and that's what I would do. Are there any suggestions? It's Sunday, August 20th.

Playing miniature golf costs, but certainly alot less than park admission, strolling the Boardwalk, shopping at DTD, taking in the live entertainment at Scat Cats (the performer used to perform regularly at PI Jazz Co., now he's free at POFQ), going to the AKL for the night vision goggles of the animals. I'll see if I can think of more.

Jellyrolls at the Boardwalk is alot of fun. It's a piano bar that features 4 different piano players each nite. 2 of them come out and do the whole dueling piano thing for and hour and then they trade off w/ the other 2. They play requests from the crowd and generally everyone has a great time. The staff is extremely friendly here. I went there 10 nites in a row and had a great time, and I don't even drink. There is a small cover charge ( I believe it was $8 ) but the entertainment is well worth it.

There are a lot of different things to do at the West Side of DDT. You could spend all night just in the Virgin Mega store alone. I also love to go resort hopping, always great picture opportunities. You don't have to spend a dime, but I find that each resorts gift shops always have something special in them. I also look for the penny stamping machines at the resorts too. They are only .51 cents and that is probably the least expensive souvenir that you will ever find at WDW.

I just thought of another. If they go to WL, go up to the 4th floor balcony, at aroune 9:30 they get to see the Electric Water Pagent, then maybe go to the lobby and sit with a beverage.

Shopping at Downtown Disney
Have dinner at O'Hana's, then go out to the beach to watch Electrical Water Parade & Wishes
Campfire & Movie at FWCG

since you are staying at VWL - how about a stroll through the grounds... you know how romantic it is.

watching the EWP from the beach.

go over to the Polyn to see Wishes firework. okay they can take the boat ride to the Cont.

I think just enjoying the WDW resorts can be fun.

both PO offer entertainment at night. since this is free it will be very crowded.

just enjoying a drink on your own balcony.... (I really love DVC resorts).

going on the resort tour of WL/VWL.

being the flag family - but only if they can get up that early.
