I was thinking on our next trip that DH and I may like to take a 2-3 hours and explore PI. DS is 10. Would he be bored at these clubs and which one has the most activities for a 10 yr old boy? Also, we're staying at POR so it will obviously have to be elsewhere. I felt a little guily doing this, but it would just be for a little while. As DH and I are not late night people.

The Cub's Den at WL. On decor alone, it is more geared to the masculine although my DD's love the atmosphere. There are games, computers, movies etc.

My 4 yr old dd stayed at the Cub's Den for a few hours one night when I took her solo last August (I needed a little "adult" time for myself). She enjoyed it. There were other older kids & pre-teens there who seemed to be very content & happy.

They have computers for them to play games on, that can sure pass a few hours pretty quickly. They show a movie and they give them dinner. I'm sure you're 10 yr old would be fine and probably pretty happy there.

My nine year old and four year old LOVED the Neverland Club at the Polynesian...so much so that they both asked to go back the next night. There are both video games and computer games for the older kids. The kids also get a buffet dinner with several choices. I think your ten year old would have a blast here for a few hours.

I too felt guilty about leaving the kids there but when I came back and they didnt want to leave and wanted to go back the next day I felt much better about it. We did let them go back for a bit the next night too since they had so much fun and they wanted to go back. It gave their dad and I a chance to have some adult time.

I think either WL clubs den or Sandcastle club is the best for older kids. I found the NeverLand Club nice but the decor is more for younger kids. (just my opinion)

DS 10 at the time and DD 7 at the time stayed at the Neverland Club. I read off the descriptions and let them pick. DS really liked the arcade games and I think he pretty much played them the whole time except when he stopped to eat. Because he didn't have to keep pumping change in he found it to be a very good way to spend his time. No complaints from him--I suggested Cub's Den for this trip, but they said they wanted Neverland again.

We used quite a few of them when DS was younger. Neverland was his favorite. He also liked the Harbour Club quite a bit. The Sand Castle Club was OK. He didn't care for the club at the GF, thought it was very boring.

On our trip in Feb 2003 our two boys spent an evening at the Neverland Club and they greatly enjoyed it...they did not want to leave. They really loved the free arcade games. We also stayed at the WL that trip and we visited the Cub's Den during our stay (both Neverland Club and Cub's Den were open from like 2 to 4 during the day to be checked out by parents and kids...no fee, but parents must be with kids). The Cub's Den is very small...really small. In fact the CM at the Cub's Den even said she thought our boys would enjoy themselves more at the Neverland Club because of the size and the larger amount of things to do. The Cub's Den is really just a room (and not a real big room), and I think a 10 year old boy may quickly feel crowded, and especially when you add in a bunch of small kids running around.
