I WAS THINKING THAT DH AND I MIGHT TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE KIDS CLUB THING AND BOOK A DINNER JUST FOR THE TWO OF US. SO TWO QUESTIONS...WHICH KIDS CLUB IS BEST, AND WHERE SHOULD WE GO FOR DINNER? I DONT WANT ANYTHING SUPER FORMAL LIKE V&A. i REALLY WANT GREAT FOOD BUT NOTHING "STUFFY." AND FOR THE KIDS THING, WE ARE STAYING AT WL, SO I WAS THINKING CUBS DEN, BUT THEN I KEPT READING THAT THE ONE AT THE POLY WAS THE BEST....NEVERLAND OR SOMETHING??? CANT REMEMBER THE NAME. ANY THOUGHTS?

Can't help you with the kids club but DBF and I love California Grill for a nice, relaxing meal. We time our ressies with the MK fireworks and ask for a window seat so we can watch them. The food is always super nice and the atmosphere is great!

xx

Poly by far has the best kids club however, when DH and I went out in Jan. we used the club at the Dolphin Resort. We dined at The Blue Zoo and it was INCREDIBLE and when you dine at one of the "signature" restaurant at the Dolphin you get 2 hours free child care. You show your dinner receipt when picking up the kids and for each adult meal purchased you get 2 hours per child free.

Our meal was amazing..I would highly recommend it. My 4 yr old liked the club a lot but my 9 yr old was a bit bored there. He much prefers the Neverland Club at Poly.

Since you are staying at WL, why not try Artist Point?

A few things popped into my head.... why not use the Cubs Den since you're staying at WL? You pay by the hour for your kids to be in the Club, so having it right there (at the hotel you're staying in) will cut down on the amount of time you pay for. I agree that going to dinner at your hotel would also be nice.

BUT here's what we did last year that was enjoyable. We also were staying at WL and put our kids in the Cubs Den. We had dinner at the Yachtsman Steakhouse over at YC. After dinner, we were able to check out the YC and BC. Then, we walked around the Boardwalk area and checked out all the activities they have. We also walked into the Boardwalk Hotel to check it out. It was a nice "evening out" for us without going to a park.

DH and I went to Bluezoo for dinner and it was excellent. It's in the Dolphin hotel, and it was a very quiet meal (there was only one child there that evening and he was about 9 or 10 years old). Afterwards, we went to ESPN club on the Boardwalk to watch the Phillies game and have a few drinks. We used Kids Night Out since our DS was 20 months and couldn't use the kids' clubs. It was a great meal and a very nice night!:goodvibes

Thanks for the info-I never really thought about a night out without the kids-until now. Where can I get more info on which hotels offer a kids club and what they do? We're staying at the Contemporary-do they offer anything?

Bluezoo is very good, as is Artist's Point & California Grill.

I personally find Jiko at the AK Lodge to be the finest meal on Disney property, with by far the best wine.

Wonderful, original food, excellent wine, appetizers and desserts to die for, the best coffee in Disney (Kenya AA roast in a french press), great atmosphere, not stuffy but very classy.
