I know Night of Joy is the 9th-11th of September this year. Does anyone know what the schedules are for the concerts (breakdown of who plays when)? Or do you know where I can find one?

This is my first time to NOJ and want to make sure I plan well!

Thanks in advance!!!

WDSearcher - do you know how long each person/group normally goes on for?

Thanks!
Depends ... sometimes it's just one set; sometimes they'll do two or three. Depends on the stage, the group, and a myriad of other factors.

Will Wishes still be done?

How many stages are there for NOJ?

Thanks again everyone!

We went a couple of years ago, and there were five stages:
1. In front of the castle
2. In adventureland in front of pirates of the caribbean
3. The Tomorrowland stage in front of space mountain
4. The Galaxy Palace theater between Buzz lightyear and COP
5. Inside Cosmic Ray's

Most bands played at least twice, so if you miss them one time, you can catch them later. Most sets were only about 20-30 minutes long, except for the headliners playing at the castle.

Enjoy! It's a great time!

Thanks KCritter!!! That's great to know!

Do you remember if they set a schedule before the events?

Also, from what I've read - there are rides open at that time too, is that right?

There are rides open, but it's crazy busy. We went two years ago, and had a great time. But, if you go for the rides, don't. We decided to ride Pirates while waiting to see Audio Adrenaline, and waited in line over an hour. There are a ton of high school youth groups that get a little crazy as the night continues. We are used to that atomosphere being high school youth workers at our church, but they can get a little annoying.

Go if you love the bands, don't go if you want to ride. But, if you go, have a great time. There's nothing like worshiping with 1000 of your closest friends in front of Cinderella Castle with Michael W. Smith on stage. It was amazing.

Thanks Kelli - we're definately going for the music, but thought we might be able to squeese in a few rides.

We are not going to go to the parks during the day (we're going back for a week in January to do all - doing the beach, Kennedy Space Center this time around), so thought we might be able to do a ride or 2 during NOJ - will wait and see, but won't expect it.

Who knows - I know this year is the 1st time they've had a Thursday night, so that may be the least busy....we'll have to wait and see.

I know I can't wait to be there for all that worship!

Thanks again!

I agree with Kelli, the lines for the rides are incredibly long, except for Fantasyland. You could right walk on to most of those rides - it's the only time I've ever ridden Dumbo! Even though the event doesn't start until evening, you can get into the park around 4 or 4:30 with only your NOJ ticket, so you might be able to get some rides in then.

Kelli's also right about the feeling you get - I heard they sell 20,000 tickets per night, and there were at least 5-6,000 people in front of the castle for the headliners. Simply amazing.

I don't think they announced the schedule of who was appearing where or when prior to that night, but they'll hand out a schedule when you enter the park with all three night's schedule. It takes some careful planning to make it to all your favorites because someone is always playing somewhere and there are overlaps.

I wish I could go this year!
