Nick's Make-a-Wish Trip!! Day Two updated! 2/28/09!

Becca is a little squirt....her height isnt that bad at 58 (4'10") inches - I am only 63 (5'3")inches but her weight is really quite low at only 66lb's
She is so skinny she looks a lot younger than what she is.

That's great about your flight info! Our flight is leaving early in the morning too, so we have to leave around 4:30.

I think it is great to leave early so you can get to Orlando early enough to do something at GKTW that same day. Does anything happen that night on Monday?

I wish our flight leaving was later in the day (noon) but I guess it is okay since the kids do have to go to school the next day.


Ohhhh.. and that does remind me, does anyone know about the chapel at GKTW, I remember reading about it in one person's TR. Is it just a visit type worship place or do they hold any worship services on Sunday's? We are very religious and it will be weird not attending a church service on a Sunday morning.

I also read about it on someones blog. It is a place to meditate or pray but unfortunately there are no formal services.
I am sure that GKTW would point you in the right direction to attend services at a local church if you were to phone before you go or ask them when you get there.

I specifically didnt join the Big Give board after Teresa approached me about hosting Becca's. But I am going to join afterwards. I want to be able to contribute.

I can do bits of crafts, the thing I usually lack is motivation, I cant think of anything that would give someone greater motivation than doing a Big Give.

Yes, I wasn't allowed to join the Big Give when I tried awhile back but I am totally going to when our trip is over. I don't know what I can contribute but I don't know how we can't not give back something!

Well, today we are off to a routine dentist appt for Nick and we will also try to squeeze in a dr's appt for him as well. He has had a low grade fever for what feels like FOREVER.. actually about 2 weeks.. somedays nothing more than 99.5 other days he gets sent home because it gets up to over 100 to 101.

I know it is just his sinus infection that is still lingering becuase I can see the circles under his eyes and he is constantly making this horrible throat clearing sound that is driving all of us in the house batty! The last couple of days tho he has had a really bad headache.. so since he is already out for the dentist I will see if the dr can see him too.

Appts went well, we got into the reg dr before his dentist.. on a longer antibotic course for his sinus infection this time. Dentist was great, Nick has great teeth, no cavities, they saw because he has been on so many abx in his life it kills the bacteria in his mouth as well. LOL.. at least one good thing comes out of it.

wow he sounds just like Jason
he does the same throat clearing thing and it looks like someone broke his nose because of the black eyes
hope he mends fast when is his next treatment that normally helps Jason more then meds do

Next IVIG isn't until Dec 2nd.. we just had one and I was hoping it was going to help since he had just finished abx for the same sinus infection and bronchitis. He sees the immunologist on the 8th, and his reg doc.. actually a PA, that we saw today said he needs to be back on his daily allergy meds which his allergist took him off of this summer. So maybe that will help with the recent influx in sinus infections.
