Nickname vs Legal Name Issue?

I am in the process of closing on our DVC resale purchase but have a question I’m hoping someone may be able to answer.

My legal name is John, III but I go by “Trey.” My legal name is listed on the deed but my MyDisneyExperience account is, and has always been, under the name “Trey.”

Is this going to cause an issue when I set up my DVC membership account? Am I going to be able to link everything together?

Should I make a note on the “New Owner Set-Up Information” document from MagVacT company?

My legal name on my deeds and name I go by on MDE and the DL app are different, but it’s not been a problem at all for me. You’ll be able to link everything just fine once you have your member number and account set up.

Same here, and I had no problem merging both of the accounts (DVC + MDE).

My husband unfortunately didn't put his legal name on the deeds and this has caused us issues. However, the other way round shouldn't cause a problem at all. I'm sorting the legal issues around his name with CS

You know, they told me at the broker it wouldn't matter at all and I could put whatever name I wanted. I ultimately decided to go with my legal name for fear of what you mentioned. I'm sorry it is causing issues. I hope you can get it worked out without too much trouble.
