Nickelodeon Suites Resort ...reviews

I am looking to stay at a fun...non-disney resort.
We are Disney'd out and are thinking of going the Universal, Sea World route next January.

I love the water slides and stuff at this hotel.
Any feedback from those that have stayed here?
Food ..cost / selection?
Cleanliness?

I was there for 2 nights last June with my friends and thier then 4 yr old son. Thier son loves Spongebob. We did the character breakfast which was pretty good. Their son is alittle afraid of the characters but liked spongebob and patrick. He was better with them at the breakfast but didnt want to meet them when they were doing meet and greets in the mall area.

You have to make reservations for the shows(we only saw the spongebob one) the shows are free but if you dont show up they charge you a fee. I didnt use the pool or slides but they seemed to like them.

The mini golf was lame, we ended heading to Fantasia Gardens and playing there. Also the room was very humid, which I have heard other people say also. When we called to tell them they told us to turn the heat on but after calling 3 more times they brought us a dehumidifier.

We didnt see any of the 4D movies but they looked interesting

Food was pretty pricey but probably on par with disney

If you are going to Universal, you may want to consider staying in their resorts. You get a free express pass to skip to the front of lines for each person. We loved Royal Pacific and so did our kids. Have fun!

I'm a fan of the Nick, but with that said I'm a 2 or 3 day fan. It's an add to the front or end of a stay and hang out kind of a place IMO, not a place to make your base camp. I don't think I'd ever stay there for an entire week.

I'd do a split trip with a few days at the Nick and then the rest at a Universal hotel.
