Actually, my opinion would be exactly the same...she is more than capable of earning enough $$ to support herself, so why would she need spousal support from him?
To me, spousal support is for the person who has been married for many years, has been many years out of the workforce and has spent their marriage "behind the scenes" as the dutiful spouse, attending work related events, being supportive, running the household single-handedly so spouse could focus on career advancement. And notice that I am not "genderizing" this...I have known couples where the wife was the primary breadwinner and the husband stayed home and raised the family, cared for the house...basically a reversal of what society considers the "traditional" roles for men and women. Should any of these couples break up, I would think the husband should be entitled to spousal support, at least for a period of time long enough for him to re-establish himself in the workforce and earn a decent living.
Nick Lachey??? Sorry, he can earn more money than the average person could ever hope to, without taking an alimony check from his ex-wife.
