What are the chances of booking a night time show(free) if we are only staying for one night? Do they take the reservations for that night in the morning? Our flight does not arrive until 3pm :sad2:

Chances are good, but you might not get the most popular times.

It depends on the day really. We have found in the past that you can book until almost dinner time on a beautiful day. However, if it is raining or a lousy day, they fill up like crazy. It also depends on when you will be there. I would go directly over after checking in if you really want to get in and see what is available.

Thanks for the feedback. Just wondering if it was worthwhile to change our flights to arrive 4 hours earlier for $40 more. This would also give us less sleep in the morning before our flight. What are the chances of seeing Spongebob walking around without doing the character breakfast or night time show?

It is unlikely that you will see spongebob walking around. They generally keep him in a corner and you go to him at the breakfast. He doesn't walk around to the tables (or at least he didn't used to). He generally is not one you will find in the mall area. We have seen Blue, the Rugrats and Quidward but not much else.

$40 for four more day time hours at he Nick is a good deal (I just asked my 8 YO and she concurs). We spent 2 nights there to begin our last Orlando vaykay and the place is just plain fun. The early flight will give you pool time before dinner and the pools and slides there are way cool :goodvibes .

We were just there for a night April 3rd. We checked in at 11 and went right up to sign up for the night time show and got our first choice of 8 pm. There are I think (?) 4 or 5 times to choose from so I'd think you'd get something. And we did see sponge bob walking around the mall in the afternoon on our checkout day. Also saw Squidward & Diego..we didn't do any character meals there. If it were me I'd keep everything the way I had it, I'd not lose sleep to go to one of those shows :-)

They have poolside shows as well, just check the schedule they give you when you arrive.

Thankyou everyone for your advise. :)

I am presently in negotiations with my relunctant DH to add a couple of extra nights to stay at Universal before our Nick stay. This way, we will be in Orlando and we can check in bright and early.
