The last two years we have stayed at Pop Century in two adjoining rooms. This year we booked a suite at Nick. Will we be disappointed?

Our reasons for choosing Nick over Pop this year:
1. The price for the suite including a fridge is cheaper than two rooms at Pop.
2. Since Nick is a Holiday Inn two of our kids will eat free at breakfast and lunch.
3. This year we aren't doing the Disney parks, we are visiting both Universal parks and going to the NASCAR race in Daytona.
4. One big plus was the pools at Nick.

We have loved Pop in the past and I hope we aren't making a huge mistake, this is our one and only vacation until next year and I want it to be great.

since you aren't going to Disney - why pick a hotel so close to Disney....

there is a Holiday Inn much closer to Universal. I would go with it.

if you aren't going to Disney - I can't see you missing a Disney hotel.

have you consider the Universal hotels....I like Universal Royal Pacific alot!!!

www.universalorlando.com

AAA has a discount with the Universal hotels.

oh the AAA discount was a good one - not the 10 to 20 WDW offers - I think it was 30% might be more or less - that was a few years ago.

Hi,
You will love the Nick. we can't wait to go back there. so much to do just at the hotel. This Hotel is worth staying at. Well at least it was for us....Fun Fun Fun.

If you aren't going to Disney you might as well not stay on disney property.
From what I heard from people with children the Nick resort is fantastic. they have arts ad crafts, character greetings and special things going on at the pool. Your kids might not want to leave and go to the parks. Peggie

we stayed at both, and my kids liked nick better.
they wante d to leave mgm studios to go back to the hotel and the pool!

We are planning 3 days at HRH & UO then 3 days down at the Keys. I was thinking one night at Nick Hotel (as stopping and resting on way home). My younger kids LOVE nick cartoons and was wondering if 1 day/night would be enough for them to explore or should I plan on 2 days? These would just be Hotel days no parks. I figured they would spend the entire time at the pool.

Thanks,
Cheryl

If you're doing Universal I would HIGHLY recommend... especially in July, to stay onsite Universal. The Royal Pacific has a King Suite that is very comparable in rate to the Nick Hotel and you'll get front of the line access, which is worth EVERY dime!

I stayed at the Nick Hotel when it was the Holiday Inn Family Suites and it was great! Unfortunately it's a haul from Universal, a good 20 min ride without traffic, so a bit out of the way. The Holiday Inns and Suites across from Universal is not bad but not comparable at all to the Nick Hotel, even at half the price.

Let us know what you decide!

If you have kid's then they will love Nick Hotel.
