Myself and my Dd10 are going to take a trip to Orlando and only do/see things that we haven't done yet. We are staying on Disney property(got a really good deal), have US/IOA passes for the week, have a trip to DTD planned, and tickets to the Medieval Times dinner show. I am stuck between getting tickets for Sea World, or booking a night at the Nick Hotel. She is 10 years old and a Nickelodeon fanatic, but also loves turtles, whales, and sharks. I can't afford both. Any comments or suggestions?

My DD LOVED it! We have stayed in a lot of cool hotels, too...but I honestly think a day at seaworld would be a real memory maker for her.

I would choose Seaworld. That is something that you can't do at home. Plan a local waterpark trip for the summer and it will be better than the Nick one.

We had a great time at Sea World last year. I wouldn't hesitate to go there with my kids. They really liked it.

Also, I believe Seaworld is still doing the buy one day get a second day free promotion. All you would need to do is go to guest services just inside the turnstiles and they will upgrade your pass for the free day.

Thanks! I think we will do SeaWorld! I just had an idea that maybe I cancel a night at POP and get a night at Nick for only 70 bucks more. Has anyone ever been there? I read on their website that they have games and activities there for kids. Has anyone ever participated? I just have to wonder if it would be worth it. I would like to do both, and do the Nick hotel thing before she is too old to enjoy it.

Me, nor my family have ever been to Nick Hotel but from friends, i always here that it's noisy, and that it's nothing outta this world. For little kids its good, but not with tweens or teens (i'm a teen, and from the expirences that i hear people go through, i would hate to stay there) besides... think about it... you can do alot more at seaworld, and learn some educational things. I would pick seaworld hands down.

OH & you might want to youtube Nick Hotel in orlando or something, and see what the atmosphere is like... and if you think you guys will like it :) Have fun whatever the decision may be! :D

We've never stayed there but friends of ours have and they said that a lot of the activities are an additional charge and fill up quickly. If your going to go just make sure you ask if there is any additional charge for the activity.

We have done both and my vote is for Seaworld. :thumbsup2 We havent been to Seaworld in a few years and are looking forward to spending a day on our upcoming trip. Yes, I would stay at Nick again. However, it would be under certain circumstances....Great price, during the week and no holidays involved. We were there for 4 nites last Memorial Day..very crowded and loud at the pool.

Well, Nick Hotel is much cheaper when it comes to it. Seaworld admission for your family will cost more than the Nick Hotel, not to mention that The hotel has a huge waterpark area that I spent a full day and a half in. If you have the money though, go to Seaworld.

Not sure if you saw the new incredible waterpark seaworld is opening. I seriously think it will be better than the Nick Hotel. we are going the 1st week in april and buying the tickets for $79 that includes a day at seaworld and the waterpark.. its called aquatica..

My kids do love the nick hotel. we go for one night every summer. That is about all dh and I can handle of that place..

I was going to suggest the same. Get the Seaworld two park ticket. Aquatica looks great. I haven't been to the Nick Hotel but would have thought it wouldn't be a patch on Aquatica. The Dis unplugged podcast covered what was going on there an it sounded really cool. Check out the link at the top of the main page for the Dis Unplugged or the Seaworld board for some more info.

Someone posted below the Nick Hotel is 1/2 off, so if your dates are for that time maybe u could do both!
