The weather has been getting nice lately and I have been out of town a lot, so I haven't gotten too much accomplished
When we started researching fun things to do for our wedding weekend, we can upon this website for drinking around the world in Epcot and we instantly knew we had to do it! I figured we would get our close family and a few friends to join us, but it has quickly become one of the most popular events all our guests are excited about. As it turns out, almost everyone is going to do it!
We have been working on passports for drinking around the world for a while now, but we finally finished the first batch of them.
I am pretty excited about how they turned out!
I borrowed most of the page designs from someone on the creative boards (I think -- it's been a while though). Then I changed the order, added a map, cover page, passport info page and some directions. This is what the pages look like:
My printer doesn't do a full bleed very well, so I tweaked the design size a little too. We are bringing colorful permanent markers for everyone to mark up the passports.
We also found these "halloween" shot glasses at Oriental Trading Co for $3 per dozen! There are little pumpkins and ghosts on the necklace part, but for $0.25 a piece, I think they will work great as a fun favor.
We want to do t-shirts with a checklist of countries on the back and something like "Nichole and DF's Drinking Team" on the front. We played around with the idea of making them ourselves with t-shirt transfers, but I am now leaning towards just having them made. This is our first attempt ... I'm not sure why it didn't dawn on us that you had to reverse the transfer before ironing, but I guess there is a learning curve
If we have them made, we were leaning towards lime green shirts with hot pink writing ... something that really stands out in the crowd. DF has taken the lead on the t-shirt project, so we'll see what he comes up with.
I think we are going to put together the shirts, passports, a bottle of water and the shot glass necklaces in little paper bags for everyone. I haven't worked out the logistics of it all yet, but it looks like everyone is staying at Coronado Springs, so hopefully getting stuff to everyone won't be that hard.
On a completely different side note, I got my garter in the mail this week!
DF is a huge University of Michigan fan and I went to Michigan State University (2 huge rivals). So he is going to laugh when he figures out I am wearing something "green" instead of something "blue"
