I was thinking earlier about my pet peeves when it comes to others actions at the parks, and then I wondered what about the nice things we do for each other at the parks?

I don't mean the CM's or other Disney employees. They do ALOT of nice things no doubt about it. I was just wondering if any of you have had just another "regular folk" like yourself do something that really made you happy and think "that was sure nice of them".

If you have any stories like that I'd love to hear them. Who knows maybe the person who did something nice for you might even read your post! :sunny: :flower:

well this wasnt at disney but when we were going to sea world last week we were about to pay for parking which was 9 bucks, so we gave the lady the debit card and she said they didnt take debit cards. That was all we had, so we asked if they had an ATM and she said no. So we were about to turn around and then she just gave us the parking pass and put her finger up to her mouth and gave this crazy grin and said.. "shh..dont tell anyone" so that was cool, it saved us 9 dollars and we didnt have to turn around.

oops..didnt see the "regular folks" ..well that would have to be when someone offered to take a picture of me and my wife at the castle in MK when we were trying to do it ourselves and I was to oscared to ask someone. We had another couple ask if we wanted a pic taken at sea world.

That was a nice thing to do, and so easy too. Whenever I see someone taking a photo of one other person, like a couple or whatever, I always go over and ask if they want to be in the photo together and take the pic for them. It only takes a few seconds and it can really help someone else out. Like my mom always said "Do unto others...". I think we all know the rest. :sunny: Thanks for sharing!

Well, at Pop checking in I was having a horrible experience, and I was totally stressing out, ds had been clinging to me for 2 hours, I was just about in tears. A woman was behind me in line and she had been waiting FOREVER, so I apologized to her and told her that I hated to have to deal with things like this in DW, cuz its suc a happy place. She brushed it off, saying it sounded like I had a mess to deal with, and after about 10 more minutes, with me TOTALLY on the verge of breaking down, she came back out of nowhere, put her hand on my shoulder, told me everything would be ok, and that not to let it wreck my trip. :grouphug: That was enough to make me really almost loose it, as she was so compassionate and understanding, which is all I really needed, and totally what I was NOT getting from the supervisor that I was dealing with.

So if that was you 3 weeks ago in Pop, thank you so much!!

Several years ago, while sitting in the back of a disney bus, my oldest son and i were playing our game, I love you bigger than a...(insert answer here) we started off as ants, up to gifaffes, then to infinity and beyond. my husband was helping the 6 year old with ideas when the 2.5 year old yells out MOMMY I LOVE YOU SMALLER THAN AN ELEPHANT. Well we got laughing and then started telling each other how much smaller we loved each other . We got down to amoebas. Any way an older couple came up to us as they were getting off the bus and shook my husbands hand and told us how much they enjoyed our conversation and what a nice family we had. it is one of my most special memories! :lovestruc :wizard:

I just thought of something to add.
DH and I were at DL and had some extra tix that we bought for another couple who was then unable to make it. They were discount tix from DH's work and we were asking people if they wanted to buy them. One guy said yes that he would take them but the lady he was with said loud enough for us to hear, "Be careful, you don't know if they're real or not". He just ignored her as did we.

Later that day, that same lady came up behind me in the park and said, "I just wanted to apologize for being skeptical about the tickets you sold us earlier and say thank-you for saving us some money." She then said she hoped we were enjoying our day and off she went. It was just a nice gesture. Maybe she was rude in the beginning but she took the time to approach me when she happened to see me again and apologize. She didn't have to do that. That's what I mean by just being nice, and I still remember that to this day.

ONe night coming home from Magic Kingdom with my grandchildren, the 2 little ones had to go to the bathroom really bad so when we got off the bus my husband took them ahead so they could go and my oldest grandson stayed to help me off the bus and to walk to our room. (I have very severe arthritis) An elderly couple stopped my grandson and said what a wonderful boy he was for helping his grandmother. He is only 7 and I thought it was so nice of them to take the time to pay him such a nice compliment. :flower:

One of the DIS members (SAFAULK) just recently returned from Disney and sent me park maps and times guides for each of the parks. She didn't even let me send her the postage! Thanks so much for the pixie dust and helping us plan for our trip! :wizard:

Since my DH is a teacher and can only travel during the busy season, and since he isn't the Disney nut I am, he sends me and the kids down. Now, my kids are great, but with 5 of them (ages 7-16) and only one of me, well, there are times...

Anyway, we were at Epcot a month ago, and a lady came up and told me how nicely behaved she thought my kids were. It just made my day! :goodvibes

Mine did not happen at disney either We have friends who owned mrb's toy shop in the mercado in 2001. I collected ty beanies and Elma sold them. When Elma came back to the uk she put me in touch with a local lady who collected them, so when we went to Florida last year we met up with her and her husband. They drove us to cocoa did a barbecue paid for all the food we had a wonderful day all this and we had never met before. We are hoping to repay them next year when we go.

When we there last year we were lined up to see the afternoon parade at MK. We had perfect seats on the curb. Right as the parade started to come by a family of seven (4 adults and 3 kids) came and pushed directly in front of us. Several people tried to say something because it didn't affect just us, but they didn't speak English and couldn't seem to understand why everyone was so annoyed. No big deal for me but my son who had just turned 3 was devastated because he couldn't see ANYTHING. On the other side of of us sitting on a curb was a very nice family of four. The dad reached back, grabbed my son, put his small daughter on his lap and sat my son down in his daughter's old spot so my son would be able to see. I thought it was so very thoughtful!

Last year we were sitting in the lounge at AKL watching for animals and a couple gave us 2 5day passes that they weren't going to use before they expired. We couldn't believe it! It was so nice and generous of them!

Thanks again...if you're out there.

My DH, DS(2), my parents and I were at Epcot a couple of weeks ago strolling around the World Showcase. We had to take a break to change the daiper over by the U.K., and my parents headed up to Paris to look around and wait for us. Not suprisingly, my DS had a huge tantrum, and at the same time a huge rain overcame the park. We ducked into the shop across from the Rose & Crown. We totally annoyed some of the guests, because our DS was being a monster. Our DS had a fit and wanted to be IN the rain. Well my thought was "it's only water", and I let him go and the shop guests were relieved. He was having a ball getting soaked (mostly because he got his way) and I put on my poncho. My husband stayed under the awning because his poncho was in the bag on the back of my Moms' wheelchair. I tried chasing our DS around, and we were all having a bad toddler moment.
Then an angel was standing there. She came out of nowhere, she wasn't in the shop, and she wasn't soaking wet. She stood near the awning my DH was under and gave us a smile. A smile helped the situation like you wouldn't believe. She offered my DH her Atlanta Braves poncho. It still brings me tears, the thought of her kindness right when we needed it. My husband and I gave her a thank you, and he put on the poncho and we headed up the hill to Paris. Of course by the time we got to Paris, the rain stopped, and our DS was happy and excited again. My DH had the idea to run back to the U.K. and see if he could find that woman and return the poncho. He couldn't find her.
I believe in angels. She was definately one! If you are on these boards, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!! :grouphug:

this might sound crazy since it wasn't just for me personally but we were headed toward camp minnie mickey( or what ever the name is) post ak parade where someone had been very rude( nother topic nother time) and since it was the last fotlk show i was afraid we were going to miss it and was flustered. as it turned out we had enough time to go to the pocahantous( sp) one and still make it to fotlk( thanks to nice cm recommendation) but the nice part was the enjoyment i got out of the two little boys who opened the show..forget where they were from but they were so serious about doing it "just right", big brother giving stage whispers to little brother ect, they made me forget all about the meanies from before relax and enjoy both shows tons more

we were in WDW in July for 2 weeks....in the middle of the visit, my mom flew down to be with us for her 78th birthday....
she only came down for about a day and a half so we knew we would only be able to do a few things with her.
We made it over to Epcot towards the end of the afternoon. I really wanted to take her on Soarin and was trying to figure out how in the world we would be able to get onto Soarin without waiting in the 90 minute standby line (all the FPs were long gone by the time we got to Epcot)...

well..

as we entered Epcot, my 18 year old son and 21 year old daughter were walking towards their picture tile to show it to their grandma (it's right by the fountain)...as they were walking a group of people (that my son described as looking like a motorcycle gang) going towards the exit came up to them and handed them their FPs for Soarin.....five of them!!....just the number that we needed.....what a really really really really nice thing of them to do...
they were leaving the park and didn't want to wait for their Soarin time slot....so they passed on their FPs....we were so very happy ...
and my mom LOVED LOVED LOVED soarin.........those nice people really made our day and my mom's birthday...

It was our first trip to WDW in 1993, and us three girls were 7-14 there with our mom and dad. We had waited for SpectroMagic, but hadn't been there early enough to be right up to the rope. There was a family in front of us, and the mother insisted that all three of us girls stood in front of us when she found out it was our first time there. She chatted to my mom, telling her what was coming, when to take the best picture, etc. While letting us enjoy the magic of the night time parade! I still remember that parade and how special I felt getting to be in front all because a nice lady let us in on her "magic" :)

This past weekend I was in line at 11 am with my 3 kids trying to get a Fast Pass for Peter Pan flight, and this guy come up and gave us his fast pass that his family had not used that morning... I thought that was really great of him, he could have just gone on the ride with his family, but they gave it to us...

We were behind a mom at potc and we were talking about our love for all things Disney and she whips out her pixie dust (glitter gel) and puts some on my twins and me. It was so sweet :goodvibes.

I forgot to mention this since someone said fast pass.. the wait for splashmoutnain was 45 minutes and I wanted to ride it before spetromagic parade, but I knew we would cut it close and maybe miss it. As we were going in the standard line a guy asked if we wanted to save some time and gave us a 2 fastpass tickets and we were able to make the parade b/c of that.

FERALPEG (Peggy) delivered a Lumpy to DD2 at ASMo in September. We had had a hard morning and afternoon and we were all pretty cranky ––*then voila! We opened the door to our room and Lumpy (from Pooh's Heffalump Movie) was sitting on the table wrapped in cellophane with a note from his pal, Mickey. DD sleeps with him every night in her crib and has taken him to "Show and Tell" at daycare several times. It reaaallllyyy made our whole trip!
