DH will be having his birthday while we are there and dd will be having her birthday a few weeks later. I'm going to have a cake the last night we are there at Crystal Palace, but is there anything else you can suggest for the room or other things I can do (for both of them) to make it more special. Has anyone had some special snack waiting when you arrived or birthday package? Just looking for other ideas, thanks.

I am also trying to figure out what to do. We will be there for my birthday, my husbands birthday, our anniversary and my daughters birthday. We will be staying at POP and I made signs for our windows, but other then that I have not figured out what I will do. I would like to get a cake also.

I'm clebrating my b-day at Disney too! I'll be in the Star Wars Weekends on June 27th having my Intergalactic Birthday Bash! :yay:

But just a tip I was given, ask the Guest Services to give you a Happy Birthday button! They will write your name on it and sometimes you'll get special "perks" from the Disney Cast Members! I don't know this to be a fact but I've also heard that if you wear on of these buttons, some of the characters will give you a little extra attention or do something speical. ;)

I've also heard that some hotels will put ballons or deleiver a cake to your room. Not sure what the cost on something like that would be though.

Does anyone know the cost of having things delivered to rooms? How much to decorate with balloons or what have you?

Im intereseted in the room thing too. What if youre staying at a DVC? My dd will be turning 3 while there. I have a BBB session and lunch at CRT scheduled. I also called to have a cake made for her at lunch.

Isnt there a special phone call you can get at your room as well? I know about the bday button too.

Free Birthday Perks
Inform Cast Members/Travel Agent when you book your reservation that it is a Birthday celebration and provide them with the name and age of the Birthday child.
Let your Resort know when you check-in. Sometimes they will do something special for your child ranging from autographed character pictures to balloons in your room. This does not always happen but we have heard of many instances where it has.
Visit ‘City Hall’ on Main Street in the Magic Kingdom, ‘Guest Services' in EPCOT, 'Guest Services' in Disney's Hollywood Studios and ‘Guest Services’ in the Animal Kingdom for a ‘"IT'S MY BIRTHDAY" button. This always generates special attention from the Cast Members in the Parks. Click Here to the other celebration buttons you can choose from.

Make sure your child has an ‘Autograph Book’ when they wear the button. They will receive special Birthday greetings from the Characters.
Tell the server about the Birthday at all meals on this day. They will bring a decorated cupcake to the table (sit down dining only) with a candle in it.
If you are staying at a ‘Disney Resort’, contact the front desk and request a special birthday phone call for your child from a Disney Character.
Purchase a passport in EPCOT to have stamped in each country around the ‘World Showcase’ and make sure the Cast Member’s who signs it know it’s your child’s Birthday. They will receive Birthday greetings in many different languages.

I went down for my daughters 13th birthday in october 2007, and used gifts of a lifetime. They created an amazing event at magic kingdom including a scavenger hunt, with words of wisdom for a new teenager and disney pins at each location, ending with a gift that we purchased for her with pixie dust at the ending location. We were also down as a magical gathering group and everyone participated in the hunt. It was one of the highlights to our trip. We stayed at BWV and they deliver baloons to the room at no charge along with a disney birthday card from her favorite character. As for the Birthday pins she wore one everyday and beside being wished happy birthday from everyone she didn't receive any special perks by wearing it. Hope this helps!
