Could anyone reccommend a place in Magic Kingdom for a nice sit down lunch? We've never eaten there before. We'll have two kids and three adults. (Trying to plan all of our ADR's)
Thank you!

We always enjoy the Liberty Tree Tavern or the little more casual Plaza Restaurant.

Enjoy.:thumbsup2

We love the Plaza. Just a little something different. Great sandwiches and a nice cheerful atmosphere - right off Main Street. They also have delicious ice cream for dessert.

I've only eaten dinner at LTT and enjoyed it, but I read a lot of good things about lunch at LTT. You'll find good and bad reviews about every sit-down place in MK. Look at the menus and see what appeals to your group.

We are HUGE fans of Tony's Town Square for lunch. We aren't crazy about the dinner menu, but for lunch there are hot sandwiches, flat bread pizzas etc. It is a must do for us! :thumbsup2

If you can't get an ADR there, the Plaza is a nice place too, just wouldn't be my first choice.

Tony's! We adored Tony's for lunch! In fact, far more for lunch than for dinner. The atmosphere is so adorable and charmingly romantic. (Nothing says love like dogs making moo eyes at each other!)

LTT is pretty good too. It may not qualify as a "nice" restaurant, if you're looking for Victoria and Albert's style dining. But the food is good, the service is great and the characters are fun.

It is a buffet but I vote for Crystal Palace. Plus the kids will love Pooh and his friends! :thumbsup2

We happened upon the Plaza. It was really good, a nice change of pace and we didnt need an ADR to get in. We just walked up around 11:30 and it was about 1/2 full on a Tuesday. We plan to go back again!
Here is a link to the menu. http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/menu_pr.htm

OMG, Crystal Palace hands down. GREAT food, GREAT character interaction, etc. This is the only place we are doing lunch at in May.

More thumbs up for The Plaza & LTT. If you are thinking CS then Columbia Harbor House.

The Plaza Restaurant! I had the best Reuben sandwich and german potato salad!

The Plaza Restaurant has become a MUST for us each trip. Good sandwiches, shakes and the desserts are yummy! :thumbsup2

The Plaza restaurant is terrifc! I highly reccomend it and Tony's as well. We had a party of 3 and were able to get into the Plaza for lunch without an ADR in the middle of July!

Try the Harbor House. Its considered counter service but there is lots of nice seating especially on the second level. If you get lucky get a window seat so you can look out over the street and watch everyone going by. Can be really restfull.

We loved Tony's for early lunch!!
because it's not as busy.
We ate there at 11;30 am and there were only a few
other people in the restaurant, so we had great service
and I food was Wonderful!
Best TS Meal of our whole trip.
We ate the Grilled Salmon, NY Steak and Bianca White Pizza.
Dessert was the Trio with Cannolies, cheese cake and Tirrimiso(not spelled correctly--but yummy!)

We really enjoyed dinner at LTT, and have ressies for the first time at the Plaza for our upcoming trip. We did not like Tony's for dinner but I hear really good reviews about their lunch menu. We have only eaten at Crystal Palace for breakfast but it was great! If you don't mind leaving the park, you could always hop on the monorail to Ohana at the Poly and then go back to MK after lunch! :thumbsup2

A previous poster mentioned the characters at LTT. Just remember, if you do LTT for lunch, there are no characters. They are there for dinner only!

We made ressies for LTT, and will probably do a different one on our second day there. Thanks for all the great tips... I'm looking forward to going to them!!

LTT is very good for lunch and is a la carte. No characters as others have said.

The sandwiches and salads are so good at the Plaza but the food has come out sooooooo slowly the last few times we've had lunch there. It shouldn't take an hour and a half to have a sandwich at lunch.

Sounds like it's time to give Tony's a try again. Those of you who enjoy it, what have you ordered?

Ohana isn't open at lunch but Kona Cafe is and is excellent as is GF Cafe.

I agree completely! I love Tony's and if you're going to eat there, definitely go for lunch. Had dinner there once and wasn't pleased at all.
Last trip I ate at the Plaza for the first time for lunch and I found it delicious, casual, cheery and it felt like a restaurant that belonged in the MK!
:goodvibes
