I am resurrecting this Zombie thread because I had to revisit this entire bag hunt AGAIN!!!
Mom GAVE away the bag she loved and purchased for her last trip while in China.
. The women there just LOVE designer handbags! Apparently, more than one person asked for it.
We again looked for a replacement for her since she is going on another trip to China and HK. Couldn't find anything we liked.
Her BF lent her a blue Tory Burch leather bag that she used at a wedding in Key West. Mom and Dad didn't know anyone at the wedding except the Bride's parents but Mom said numerous women came up to her and exclaimed how much they LOVED her bag. Lol.
Neither of us heard of Tory Burch before. I had to google it. Lol. Mom's best friend got it as a gift from her daughter and I think she spent around $500 for it!!!
Mom's BF was trying to get Mom to borrow it for her China trip but 1) too expensive 2) too much responsibility 3) too heavy 4) too hard to hold (handles no strap).
I lent her one of my Coach bags. It's a Hobo bag and not a crossover but she'll live. Yes, I got it as a gift from my wonderful MIL. But at least she got it at the outlet and spent less $150/$175 on it. And it's a bag I use all the time!
I told my Mom that she'd better NOT give MY bag away!!!
I guess I'd better start keeping my eyes open for nice handbags in the future just in case, for future trips to the Far East!
