Looking to stay at the beach a couple days during our FW trip in April. Either East of FW on the Florida coast, OR heading home on our drive up the East coast, in the Carolina's, Georgia, etc. Must be pet friendly.

Myrtle Beach would be a perfect half way spot to stay a night or two on our way home. I know someone who goes to the Pirateland? or something like that campground in Myrtle Beach. Is Ocean Lakes nicer than that one, have you ever been to the other?? Thanks again! :smooth:

Jetty park in Port Canaveral is nice you can watch the cruise ships leave, fish and have the beach also North beach camp resort in st Augustine is great too

We have stayed at Bryn Mawr Ocean Resort at St Augustine a couple of times after our Disney trip. Not a lot to do compared to Disney and Myrtle Beach Campgrounds, but if you are just wanting a beach and down time, it was good beach. We stay at Lakewood Myrtle Beach Resort all the time. One of our favorites. Stayed last year and all the amenities were free to the campers last year. We have stayed at Ocean Lakes. It is nice too. We haven't stayed at Pirate land but... all three are together and share the same beach. Ocean Lakes and Lakewood may be more updated with their amenities, but Pirateland would still be nice, too.

Not quite on the beach, but Skidaway Island campground near Savannah is AMAZING. Spanish moss and lots of nature. There is a campground on Tybee Island too but it's not as nice (close to the beach though).
