For those who have gone to Niagara Falls where did you stay. It will be myself, dh, brother and sister-n-law then all our kids under the age of 7. We would like to go in the summer. TIA

Hahaha I used to live 10 minutes away from there and now I live about 35. So, I go on a day trip and stay at my house!

I've been several times. Stay on the Canadian side. The American side is just nasty, IMO. We prefer to stay in the Clifton Hill area just to be closer to the action, but the Fallsview area is nice too and close to many attractions.

I recommend the Niagara parks commission combo back that gives you bus privileges and admission to several attractions. The Maid of the Mist is a must do.

We usually go over to the American side for one day to do the park over there, its very nice and has a really cool attraction that lets you climb around on stairs at the base of the falls.

If you're a history nut like we are, there are forts on both the NY and ON side of the Niagara river that you can visit.

I'm also really excited to do the jet boat next time we go. I haven't yet, but it looks like so much fun and I think my kids would love it.

wow, thanks for all the info, much appreciated.

Stayed at the Sharaton. Huge Water Park behind, but walking distance for kids. I booked online for $165. Kids eat free at the Buffet. But adults pay $44.
When we checked in, I asked how far the Falls were. The desk clerk looked at me funny and said, "just walk out the front door and across the gardens."

I have stayed at The Brock & The Sheraton on the Falls.

I like the Sheraton on the Falls best! :thumbsup2

TC :cool1:

we went in sept and stayed at the crowne plaza on the canadian side. We got it through hotwire so didn't know the hotel when we booked but we were very happy with it. would def stay there again.

hotel was very nice and clean. parking was an additional $20 (about) but i think thats the going rate b/c my parents paid the same at a different hotel a month prior.
