My family & I are planning a trip in early Aug. to the falls in Canada. We already booked our hotel through a discount site & will be staying at Howard Johnson. We were planning to get the Adventure pass but I was actually wondering if there are coupons for other attractions or restaurants available? We love haunted houses, wax museums, etc so we definitely want to hit those & I'm finding coupons for $1 off but I was curious if there were other ones. Planning this trip was a little more difficult than I thought it would be, are there any coupon books available for purchase? or are there any particular sites that I can find food coupons or anything on?

*Any tips or advice would be appreciated, this is our first time going :goodvibes

Besides the Niagara Adventure pass -- (to be honest, its not very adventurous - you have to book times for EVERYTHING) there is the Clifton Hill Funpass -- which is WELL worth the money..

http://www.cliftonhill.com/tickets

The Clifton Hill “FUN PASS” includes:

The Niagara SkyWheel (Canada’s Largest Observation Wheel)
Galaxy Golf (indoor glow in the dark) or Dinosaur Adventure Golf (outdoor)
Movieland Wax Museum of Stars
XD Motion Theater (was in refurb when i was there in April
Ghostblasters Dark Ride (Kind of like Space Ranger Spin -- but with ghosts)
Plus 5 Great Canadian Midway Tokens -- its like a Kiddie casino and those 5 tokens wont get you very far -- but it's 5 tokens for each person --

There are some good food deals in the area as well just in general.

We went to Niagara Falls in June. We did the Adventure Pass and the Fun Pass. By purchasing the funpass online we got two rides on the ferris wheel. I'm not sure what you mean by times for everything on the adventure pass. We picked up our Adventure Pass from our printed voucher using while walking down Clifton Hill, walked over to Maid of the Mist and was on it in less then 5 minutes and no waits for Journey Behind the Falls or White Water Walk. The only attraction we needed an actual time was Niagara's Fury.

The Adventure Pass included two days on the people mover (shuttle bus) which we used both days. It also comes with some coupons. I used the half price coupon for Sam Adams Beck Power Station since dh was interested in that and I think we used another one. We also used a coupon at the aerocar. We were going to use a coupon for the Bird Sanctuary but never got there.

For food we drove and brought some food with us for snacks and a bit of quick dinner food. We were asked about food at the border and we told them what we had and they said it was fine - all manufacture packaged items such as a loaf of bread with a sealed jar of peanut butter and Jelly. We had a microwave in the room and free breakfast at our hotel. One night we came home around 7 and ate sandwiches, went swimming in the indoor pool, showered then walked down to ride the Ferris Wheel around 10pm. I know that type of dinner doesn't work for everyone but for us it worked well for us. We got some drinks at a convenience store about two minutes from the hotel.

When you walk around Clifton Hill many of the attractions not included on the Fun Pass have discounts which is you purchase tickets to more then 1 set attraction you get a discount. DD8 wanted to do a haunted house so I stopped to ask how scary it really was and was offerred half price for going before noon (I think it was Dracula castle). They also offered all 4 of us discount tickets to the Hall of Mirrors even though dd12 and I didn't do the haunted house. The Ripley's attractions had a discount but we didn't do any of them. My hotel (Country Inn and Suites) had magazines with coupons in the lobby which most likely all hotels in the area have.

Oh if you only do one thing on the American Side I highly recommend Cave of the Winds.

While not budget related one activity my girls did (got there on the shuttle) was Magic Quest game at Great Wolf Lodge. You don't need to be a hotel guest to play the game. It took 3-4 hours. We don't have a local Great Wolf Lodge so my girls loved it. I payed $65 for two wands/games and each wand was $2 more then the cheapest so about $30 for a game which you can share if desired.

Oh there is a souveneir mug that you can buy online ahead of time - maybe when purchasing the adventure pass online that is offered at discount ahead of time. If this is the type of thing you might use it probably is a good deal. It isn't something we bought but in hotter weather it might be nice.
