We just spent one night at the comfort inn the point last month.
The hotel itself was OK.... staff was helpful...
breakfast buffet was ehh.....
but the advantage was location for me.... we just walked out the door across a narrow street and right into the park by the rapids behind the American Falls...you can hear the rapids/falls from the parking lot of the hotel.
The park walk ways run right along the rapids and you approach from behind the falls...
The Observation Tower and elevator to the river and the Maid of the Mist is right there....
It is only about a 5 minute walk to the Bridge ...
The Hard Rock cafe is located next to the hotel and was open late.
The maid of The Mist was fantastic... I would have loved to have gone on it twice..
We did not do the cave of the winds or Journey behind the falls... but there are steps right next to the american falls that you can climb to get close to the falls at the base of the Tower on the American side.
We walked out onto the bridge for a photo Op by the "border"... just be sure to bring your passports...
