Nextels are open nationwide in some areas Woo Hoo

It’s true I had some friends Nextel me from California last night I have also had calls from

Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and even right from Disneyland.

So I’m curious how many of you out there have Nextels???

DW and I both have Nextels - mine isued by work, hers we pay for but we're both in the same talk group so we use the DirectConnect a lot.

I was in Las Vegas earlier this month and could not DirectConnect with her here at home. However, I could DirectConnect with a friend from Colorado who was in Las Vegas with me. It sounds as though that's the first part of the nationwide project - phase two would be a wider area, say for instance, me being able to DirectConnect with my wife while I'm traveling and she's at home. What I'm really wondering about is if we take the Nextels to WDW with us, will we be able to use DirectConnect there?

Yee Haw! We just hope this means that we'll be able to use this air card in our laptop when we travel in the States! The card is associated with the Telus network up here in Canada, and Telus is partnered with Nextel in the States, so...

Whether we're charged extra for it will remain to be seen, however...

Ain't technology grand!?!?!?!
