Next trip to DLRP is looking more likely...

We are in the throws of selling or house and moving up to Hertfordshire so our next trip to Disneyland Resort Paris was pretty much up in the air, and that's quite an un-nerving feeling - no definite plans for DLRP is a bad place to be!

Anyway, after our second mortgage metting it looks like we will be getting some cash too, some of which will just have to go on a trip to DLRP. Our financial situation will be much improved thanks to my promotion but by the time we have moved there may not be time for installments so we may have to pay in one go, which is where that cash will come in handy!

As I said in a previous thread my dad and family will be going in the last week of July so may go then and meet up, however, Denise and I love the idea of going during halloween season - there is a period in October which will benefit from the Halloween season theming but is in the lowest price band, so that sounds like a good idea....for a seond holiday in addition to one in the summer?

Nothing will be booked until we have moved but it's nice to know there is light at the end of the tunnel!

But of course!!! :flower1:

Go on, go for it, you know you want to!!! ::yes::

Seriously though, this is brilliant news Steve! It's stressful enough moving house in the same locality, so I can't imagine what it's like moving to another area :scared1: :scared1: You will really deserve your holiday(s) to DLRP!

Good luck with the move :wizard: ...have you found anywhere you like yet?

The halloween season really is fab!!!

Tell us more about your move please! (Maybe you've already done this and i've missed it! :confused3 )

I live in Exeter, Devon butand work from home - my company is based in Noerth London (Enfield) and they want me to play a bigger role in the company and to do that I really need to work in the office. They are moving to bigger and better premises so I will have a big office there - yay me! Anyway, this obviously means we have to move and initially we looked around Ware and Hertford as I knew them from my university days but you don't get a great deal for your money. As neither Denise or I work in the city there seemed little point paying to be so close so we started looking further afield and decided on Hitchin in North Herts. Our house went on the market 2 days ago and we have been looking at houses on the inernet - I am going up to the offices for a few days next week and will be visiting a few houses while I'm there. I have one viewing for a house next Tuesday - looks really nice with a fab garden.

Steve with so much going on in your lives a holiday that you are planning for will give you something to look forward to. :)

Hopefully your housing situation will find you even happier than where you were :goodvibes

I have to say Halloween season is the time I'd like to think about going next.

Halloween appeals to me as well. However, I don't think we'll be going for a while during that particular season as Emily refuses to play Disney Guess Who unless Ursula and Captain Hook are removed from the pack and their counters have to be turned facing down! Can't see her enjoying the villains parade somehow!

Joanne that is so sweet  Hmmm... being scared by the pumpkinhead men is probably not a good idea then :earseek:

Joanne, I know exactly what you mean. Whilst my younger DDs aren't exactly afraid of Captain Hook, they refuse to have their photo taken with him and don't seem particularly interested in going at Halloween. I'd love to go then, like you I'll just have to wait until they are older. :)

Steve, well done on your promotion and the swanky new office! :cool1:

Sending lots of pixiedust and good luck your way for your house hunting. :wizard:

Yay!!! It's always nice to think there's a DLP trip on the horizon - definitely makes you feel less jittery!!!

Best of luck with the house buying and selling. :wizard:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: My DD is the same but my DS loves the bad guys!!

Things are going well on the house front - we've accepted an offer on our house and have had an offer eccepted on a house we want - mortgage papers have been signed on both sides so we should be in by Easter - fingers crossed!

One of the first things we do will see if we can get the same week off work that my Dad and family are going to DLRP and if we can, book that week in DLRP too. If that's not possible we'll book another week in DLRP - we'll be there at some point this summer - we'll need to be after going through all this house moving lark!

That's great news Steve!

Moving House is of course exhausting and you'll need a rest and an escape from real life. Well done for selling and finding a new home so quickly though.:goodvibes

Steve, I'm originally from the Hitchin area so if you have any questions I can help you with, PM me!

At least you'll be closer to DLRP!!!

Michelle

Thanks Michelle - we had a good walk around Hitchin this week - seems like a lovely place with lots of nice looking restaurants and bars. As you say, that much closer to DLRP - closer than Devon that's for sure!

Great news on the house front and would be nice to tie DLP visit with family :)

It's great that the house selling/buying is working out for you - fingers crossed that it continues to go smoothly. :thumbsup2

Brilliant News about your house Steve!!! It would be lovely to see you family in DLP!!!
