Next trip in villa Has anyone used this company???

Davenport is quite far from the parks - personally I would want to be closer than that. I have rented frm http://www.statesidetravel.com/ they are a bit more expensive but if you are on Windsor Palms you would be about 10 minutes from Disney.

I would rent directly from the owner, rather than a management company. When you rent directly form an owner, you know exactly what you are getting. If it is a mgmt. co., then you get whatever they have available the day you show up, and it may not be the "model" shown on their website.

I agree that you should try to get close as possible to WDW if that is where you plan to spend your time. Emerald Island, Windsor Palms, Formosa Gardens are the three nicest and closest developments, IMHO. I used orlandovillas.com which has been great. YOu plug in your dates and needs and then you start getitng replies form owners who have villas that meet your needs, directing you to their websites. Most of the owners are from the U.K. The villas are "verified" by the webmaster, whichmenas he has checked to make sure they are owned by the people who claim to own them. On the DIS, I would try the Orlando forum for more info.

Orlandovillas.com also has discussion boards where you can ask questions. Other websites to try are vrbo.com and villas2000.com.

Davenport covers a very wide area - that is simply the postal area .Most of the communities that are in the Davenport area are still within 12-20 mins depending on how you decide to get to the parks. If you like the home and it is in your price range go for it .

I live in Davenport and am only 12 miles from Epcot, much closer to MK. I don't consider that far. Just a quick trip down I-4. Many people are building and living in Davenport from overseas.

We're renting in Davenport..VistaPark Resort. Direct from the owner, 5bdr,6baths.

I'd say you were quite a bit less than 20 minutes from WDW. Nearer 15 minutes at Vista Park.

Yep, only about 3 minutes from Walmart!!!!

to hear MalcolmC:)

We've received a bunch of new pictures of the house - it's brand new:) and just looks lovely::yes:: The owner is hoping to have the pics posted on vrbo soon:) She's been wonderful to deal with, and so has Vistapark:)

We're excited:)

We've rented pool homes from www.loyaltyusa.com a couple of times. It is a management company but we found them to be wonderful to deal with and the homes were great. It is just a few miles from Disney. The neighborhood is nothing special but the home itself was clean and worked great for us. Check out the website for great pictures and descriptions. We stayed in Alice's Wonderland and Oak Manor. Some homes have theme bedrooms for the kids (Alice's had a Alice in Wonderland room) and game rooms with pool tables, toys etc. All the homes have screened in pools, some with hot tubs.
Next trip we're staying on site because we haven't in a while but would definitely use Loyalty again.

I would agree with Malcolm- Vista Park is on Florence Villa Grove Road which is about 1 1/2 miles south of the junction with the 192 .A quiet area and with easy access to the 192 and I-4 plus not far from Publix and Wal mart .Not that I'm biased about the area at all :D
