Next SW release watch???

People on the boards have reported cancelling on the phone and then rebooking online for the same tickets. However, I was told by a SW csr
that unless the lower FARE is showing as available on your screen at the time of your rebooking you may not get the lower fare. In other words, there may be a lot of seats available on that flight, but, unless that seat is showing there is availability at the lowest FARE you are not guaranteed to be rebooked at that lower fare. I called to inquire about this for our trip in December.

I have a $67 credit with Southwest that needs to be used by February 23 or I lose it.

Not only do I have to wait, but I'll be out $67.

If your credit expires Feb 23, that means you have to actually fly using those funds - not just have a ticket booked. I have heard that Southwest will grant a one-time 6 month extension if you call customer service, so perhaps that will help you salvage the credit. Or maybe I misunderstood what you were saying and my comments don't apply.

Actually, you are both correct. I found this out yesterday. I'll give SW a call on Tuesday and ask for an extension and see what happens. Hey, $67 is $67.

I just realized that our credit (a whopping $18!) expires in May and we are flying to Vegas at the end of July so I'll need an extension too. I called this morning and they gave me this number to call on Monday for the extension:
214-792-4223

I asked about the calendar opeing up for the summer and the CSR said should be soon!

I wonder if there is any chance of it being on a weekend?

I got an email this morning about a "sale".....travel for March BUT, must book by (midnight?) Monday, Feb. 20! So, now I'm wondering IF they ARE holding out for President's Day..... either way....we are watching and c'mon SW.....

Just wanted to mention that I recently asked for an extension for a credit that was to expire in April (our trip this year will be in June). But what they did was take away my ticketless travel funds and they said they are sending me vouchers in the mail for the amount of the remaining funds. I have not received the vouchers yet but the website says that vouchers cannot be applied towards ticketless travel. I was told by someone else on this board that I would have to buy my tickets, take the trip and then when I return send in the ticket stubs with the vouchers and they should credit my credit card account the amount of the vouchers. So you get your money back but it is not available immediately.

OK, I think that all of you waiting (this includes me!) will be in luck today! DH and I have to go to pick his parents up at the airport this morning.

So, the airport is 2.5 hours away and they do not arrive until 10:00 a.m. and SWA usually releases around 10 - 11.

So when they release today - I will miss it!

Good luck everyone, I will have to see what is left over when I return!

For the love of whomever.......!!!!! Talk about a tease.....Just received a Systemswide Southwest Savings e-mails and I looked and it's still only out until June 9!! Maybe SW is going out of business after June 9!!!! That's why they're not booking any later!!!
