Next SSR price increase?

Has the date for the next price increase on SSR been posted yet?

Current DVC members have until May 8th to add-on prior to the current increase scheduled to take effect. It's been less than a month since that price increade took effect for non-members, so I think it way to soon to expect another announcement yet. Does anyone think that there will be another increase before the last 8 buildings are built? That would be at or near $100 per point, wow

Looking at the history of price increases the past couple of years, I suspect we'll see another price hike before 2004 comes to a close. And yeah, I'll bet it is close to $100 per point.

I've plugged in my crystal ball and it is warming up. But just a hunch DVD won't raise prices again, up to the $99 range, until at least the end of '05. After that, the next price increase will cross that ominous $100 mark. Maybe they'll come up with a "split" like a stock to portray the affordablity allusion. But I doubt crossing that $100 threshold is something that will be taken lightly.

I think DVC is in a fairly unpredictable phase right now with the new VP in place. I'd have bet my last dollar that we wouldn't see the increase to $95. Personally, I thought they would continue to phase-out the promotional discounts and hold the base rate of $89 per point once the resort opened. Guess my days as a psychic are numbered.

I agree w/tjkraz about the new VP, but whenever they do bump it, I'd bet it will be to $99.

As for the promotions - unfortunately, a lot of folks would rather see a higher price and get a discount than just a lower price. I think it appeals to their sense of 'getting a deal'.

I also can't believe that they bumped it up so quickly. I suppose it's a sign of how well it's selling. It makes sense in some way, given the visibility of the resort from the DTD area.


I am totally guessing....Since it's all the way at 95 now, 99 doesn't sound too different. Going to $100 sounds so much worse. I think they'll probably hold it at 99 for a while. Then when they go to 100, they'll have some sort 5 dollar off promotion for a while before it hits the triple digits. Or maybe they'll add in some incentive to go with it for a short time to make it more palatable...like park tickets!

Just curious if the point increase is for all resorts, or just SSR. Anyone know? TIA
