Mary, I also voted the 7 nights. We usually stay 7 or 8 nights as this seems to be the minimum we need to relax but really enjoy the parks. We have one 3 year old and a must do for us each trip are a few character meals. We normally do 2 or 3 of them with a combination of breakfasts and dinners.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with! And thanks for your great site!

I enjoyed the How Low Can you Go segment! I'd love to see 7 nights, 6 days. My husband has a theory - if you can't go for at least 7 nights and take your time, he doesn't want to go. I don't agree completely but I see his point. If a weekend or 3 night trip takes $1000 - why not stay 4 more nights and find other ways to save.

Now - we have AP's. So packages aren't our thing. I'd love to see a How Low Can you Go AP plan.

Thanks! I love your site by the way. You're the best.

Hi, I also picked the 7 night trip as well. I would love to see a budget for a trip wherein you would switch hotels for variety(ie. the cost of renting DVC points for a Sun-Thurs stay with off nights at PC, or 2 nights PC with rest of nights at Moderate or Deluxe). Technically, you would only need to buy 5 day PHP passes and use the pluses for a day at waterpark and PI. I am also one who has to do a character meal and one really nice meal at someplace like LeCellier. My next trip budget is being based off of what I have listed above for 2 adults driving to Disney. Largest $$ are always spent on lodging and food. I really like the idea of renting DVC points as you get a deluxe stay at moderate price plus have the extras including refrigerator and microwave. This way saves on breakfast items (bring them from home) and snacks/softdrinks as well. You'll probably come up with a great budget and Disney will then come out with some new package right after to throw your budget out the door. I have to admit that the FTP was the absolute best and one of the cheapest trips that I have had there to date.

P.S. - when you come up with the budget for family of four, add in a night for the kids at Fort Wilderness with sing along with Chip and Dale and smores purchase or Hayride.
