I don't think any of the finalist are show worthy. Melissa I don't think has the staying power for a series. Her frenetic pace and cheshire grin already bore me. And frankly make me uncomfortable. I'd rather watch Paula Deen, Rachel or Ina. They cook real food. Paula was a single parent and started her own business (the Bag Lady and then her restaurant The Lady & Sons) . Ina had her own very successful catering business and food store. I've made lots of their dishes and my 3 small boys loved them. Paula in particular uses alot of short cuts which are helpful. I've even got some quick dishes from Semi homemade. I just don't thik Melissa is someone I'd go out of my way to watch.
I wouldn't watch Debbie because of her behavior on the show. I find her distasteful (pun intended).
Jeffrey has fizzled alos IMHO.
I say Chuck (another food pun) them all out and hope for better next season.
I find it funny Susie defends Debbie so much makes me think she won and they are trying to salvage her reputation.
Did you see coming attractions?? Who ever cooks an Itialian dish goes down in flames ~ Chef Marcus Samuelson (Aquavit) says their dish is an insult to Italy. OUCH!!!! Did you see the bleached blonde chef at the judges table ? I think she is Mario Batteli's sous chef on Iron Chef. She has that show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef. What a puss!! She looks like she ate a lemon. And Alex Guarnachelli looks pretty angry also.
Paula and Ina are both very annoying to me. I *might* browse through Ina's recipes and cook something, but I can't stand watching her. Paula doesn't normally cook anything I would eat.
I'd be willing to watch Melissa's show. I think she's adorable and I've liked her from the start.
I'm still firmly planted on Team Jeffrey, though! I love him.
I've seen that. My - admittedly perverse* - thinking is that Susie's 'defense' is based on us ultimately discovering that Debbie is the official loser . A Debbie vs. Jeffery or Debbie vs. Melissa finale will draw more viewers than if Jeffery and Melissa are the finalists.
If I'm wrong, we can inundate Food Network with the suggestion that next time they let the viewers decide (like "Fashion Show" did).

This afternoon, she did something called "Back to Basics". Sliders (okay, fine, I wouldn't call friend-baked mini brioche rolls and arugula basic, but...), and confetti corn - done on the grill.
