Next Epcot Country???

Even though it would be a clash, I think Ireland would be a very nice addition. There is so much mythology that could tie in with the pavillion, I would imagine an amazing ride to go with it.

Ireland would be awesome and a show could have dancers i.e Riverdance

When we were at F&W last year at one of the wine seminars (on Spanish wines) the presenter indicated that Spain was going to become permanent. But maybe he was just testing the waters, or talking wishful thinking.

I would be REALLY happy if that was true! Let's hope so. :sunny: My mom would love a Spain pavilion in Epcot.

I vote for Egypt--think of a tour through a pyramid with a mummy, crashing walls, a bit Indiana Jones-ish. I don't know about the food, though.

Love Ireland and Australia, too.

Ooooh, why don't we add three???? But, won't the walk be soooo much longer?

I vote for a country in sub-Saharan Africa. There's nothing like that on the WS now. Morocco is a completely different animal than...oh...Kenya.

I like the ideas of Switzerland, Australia and Spain....My thought was Brazil...

With Harambe over at the AK, they might be less inclined to add something similiar to Epcot, same goes for an Asian land like India or Thailand (which AK has a blended form of too) Shame as I had been talking this over with my DH, his vote went to India. I think there should be another African nation represented (Egypt could have some awesome theming). We both felt that there was enough European Union countries for the moment. Perhaps a country that was considered continental Europe, but not actually part of the European Union would be better (I'm thinking Russia) Last and not least, how about New Zealand? (for the that pacific island vibe) or Australia would be pretty fun too.

Of course right away my vote went to Thailand (lived there for a year) but then I started thinking that people would not take the time to notice the distinct differences it has from Japan or China. I can just see it now.... "Why are there 3 Chinas?" And I dont even want to go there! So my vote has to go to Austrailia.. think of the amazing culture and wildlife! Not to mention the FOOD! Does anyone think Epcot may add another country in time for its anniversary? Or am I getting my hopes too high?

PS_ I leave in 5 days! YIPEE

Scotland is already there...it's in the United Kingdom after all (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) Confusing isn't it?

When we were there in 2003 they had Spain (I guess it was temporary)? It was located somewhere near Italy. They had a "spanish" style house & I think a fountain..they also had a bathroom nearby... Anyone jknow if its still there?

Just to clarify:
United Kingdom comprises England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, The Isle of Man and The Channel Islands
Great Britain comprises England, Scotland and Wales
British Isles comprises of Great Britain, Ireland and all adjacent islands in the North Atlantic
England comprises of well England!!!

I think I've covered all of them!! That doesn't mean that Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland aren't countries in their own right, they have sort of state like independence....that's the best comparison I can give. Lesson over!! (I'm English and living in USA, I get asked about this all the time, so I thought I had better know myself!)

I love the Egypt idea. The ride could be some mummy/tomb ride. Austria too!

Oops! Forgot that they'd probably include Scotland in the UK (my bad  ). Anyway, alot of good suggestions here.
