After CRV:banana: , i believe that for DL DVC will convert the Paradise Pier (all or portion over)

On-site, think a great idea would be a small-ish POC themed area @ the CBR in the more far-flung buildings. As in a lower point requirement per night to entice those on a budget/entry-level buyer. Perhaps even with restriction as to exlusive usage only @ that entry-level resort?

I'm with dianeschlicht and dizzneebabe on this one, give me Hawaii or a cruise!!! (I wouldn't complain about something in the Caribbean either, I'm not picky!):rotfl2:

Voted unattached but had not read the on-property requirement. I was thinking of DL probably attached to GC. As an on property Poly would be fantastic and it is the only MK resort that might have the ground to build one.

I hope it is the long forgotten "Eagle Pines resort". I like the resort idea next to a golf course-hey, it worked for OKW and SSR!!

EAGLE PINES!!!!!

Sorry but that project is now a Four Seasons. The development will include a luxury hotel, 18-hole championship golf course, single- and multi-family vacation homes and fractional ownership vacation homes. They indicated in the press release that work could commence this year and open in 2010.

I would love to see one at the Poly and my guide surely knows this. It really would be cool but I just don't see it happening anytime soon. The Poly is to popular for them to take a bunch of rooms out of commission to turn into DVC.

I think the Poly has plenty of room to add on instead of just turning rooms over to DVC. If you look at 'on property' DVC resorts, the BCV, VWL, AKV (except for the renovated part), and the "CRV" are all an add on.

I will probably buy additional points if CRV becomes a reality. But beyond that, I would strongly campaign for offsite DVCs. I would take Hawaii, the Bahamas, the USVI or any other island. Being the beach lover that I am, I would jump at the chance to add-on for a tropical home resort. :beach:

DL is cool... The rides are a bit better and some of the closed favorites, Mr Toad and the rebirth of Nemo's subs, are there. But my biggest complaint is that the illusion just isn't as strong... mainly because on tall rides like ToT you can see the interstate... you don't feel lost in your own little world... which to me is the BRILLIANCE of WDW. I don't get that feeling anywhere else... Universal, Sea World, etc.

Although I see your point, for those of us west coasters it would be nice to be able to get our disney fix without having to pay in my case at least $1200 for a family of 4 in airfare to get it. I would also be able to go more than once a year too!
