With Copper Creek currently for sale and Rivera on track for next year, I’d like some guesses on future locations. Seems like Bay Lake Tower 2, Yacht Club, or a location at Fort Wilderness have been discussed on different forums. Have also heard about a possible location at Port Orleans.

I remain dubious about Yacht Club. It would cut down the availability near the marquee convention center for convention rooms. Conventions are quality income, and they just renovated that convention center. Only 621 units at YC proper, 583 at BC proper, and 378 at BWI, and those unit counts include upper-tier units that are less frequently found in convention room blocks. Some of the conventions that use that center look to block 500-1000 hotel units for attendees as part of the contract.

Tearing down Contemporary's center and building DVC there is far more likely.

Isn't there still another garden wing at the Contemporary? I would think that would come down and be rebuilt before the convention center area. With the new convention center refurbishment at Coronado Springs, I'm wondering if there maybe is a new cash/DVC combo resort planned nearby for the future?

They just refurbed the conference center at BC/YC, and now they're doing the upgrades at CSR. Rumor has been they're going to end-of-life Contemporary.

If they do that, they might be willing to take down the Garden Wing, but the center itself is prime real estate.

The “Ever After” DVC resort..where you can have your remains laid to rest on Mouse property . The point chart is complex, based on size (casket or urn), location, and details such as flowers, granite buffing, etc.
Cost will probably be in the $300/point range and you will have to create and fund a trust to cover maintenance fees for the next 100 years.
But it will be a must do add-on for true DVCers.....:rolleyes1

We joke, but I bet they could sell this...

Well, for those with unlimited resources they could probably have a cryogenics offering. Put you in stasis and attach some sort of VR technology so you enjoy all the park improvements while you are “asleep” awaiting technological advances warranting reanimating.....

BLT 2 or the Fort Wilderness location seem likely. They already have full architectural plans for Fort Wilderness drawn up which leaked a while back, and it has non-bus transportation with the boat to MK.

YC I doubt. Len Testa/ Jim Hill have repeatedly mentioned Coronado Springs as a new DVC location. It's a "moderate" today but who knows after they finish this new expansion. Plus, supposedly they're getting rid of the value/moderate/deluxe categories all together in favor of "AK Area", "MK Area" etc. Once the Skyliner is open, Pop will hardly be a "value" anymore and I'm sure CBR will see a price surge as well.

I thought you were just supposed to have your ashes dumped on Haunted Mansion...

Unless they put in a high end table service venue, POP will always be a value class resort.

Bay Lake Tower South makes the most sense to me. It would need to have its own quick service and table service restaurants, though, in order to not overtax Contemporary's.

Cindy's castle will be the next DVC after Riviera. Can't wait to see the point chart!

Since this is really speculation and not about purchasing, I'm moving this thread to the Mousecellaneous board.

If they did a BLT II what do people think it would look like? A replica of the original or something different?

All personal opinion - I'm not necessarily right, no one else is necessarily wrong.

Consider Ft Wilderness. Now consider how much MONEY WDW is getting daily from a HUGE chunk of land.....
"Not that much" is the right answer.

Betting Ft Wilderness TOTALLY vanishes - replaced by a new Hotel (or two), and DVC.

Again - All personal opinion - I'm not necessarily right, no one else is necessarily wrong.

I agree that it will be gone some day. Maybe for a 5th gate way in the future? There's not a lot of land on property left that's suitable for development (much of it is swamps) and the Fort Wilderness site is one of the only sites big enough to fit a park. One can dream!

And, of course, the location is subject to change!
