This is from today's Mouse Planet update.....

Lewis' promotion is seen as the next step before a major expansion of the Disney Vacation Club, both at Walt Disney World and at new locations outside of Disney's current resort properties.

I wonder if I'm the only one who'd love to see a DVC location up north, someplace where the weather is cooler. It seems like now, all the DVC locations are in areas that get so HOT in the summer! I'd love to see one someplace where I can get some crisp, cool, mountain air (sorry but it's over 90 degrees 5 months of the year here and I'm getting kind of crazy  ).

Crisp, cool, mountain air...Vermont! We'd love to see Mickey up our way...Just imagine...frozen Mickey bars made from Ben & Jerry's ice cream! :goodvibes

Whatever or Wherever they build I'll be staying there at least once. So far we've stayed at 4 WDW DVC's and loved them all. We loved them all for different reasons, whether it be architecture, theming, location, room location etc... They were all great. Heck, we stayed at ASMOV back in 2000 and that was nice. Disney will not built a bad resort. We can't wait til we stay at BWV, VB & HHI. We know we're going to love them too.

That would be awesome except for the Ben & Jerry's.

Anyone for Paris, Tokyo,or Hong Kong??? I'd love to be able to go to those parks and stay on points. :thumbsup2

It could boost attendance at those parks.....

LOVE the Vermont idea. I could get there for a long weekend! A little skiing, a LOT of sitting by the fire....oh yeah, that sounds real good. Or, go to Vermont in the summer when it's hot at SSR, VB and HHI and then save those for the winter when it's cold up here.

I'll go no matter where they put it because I know I'll have a great vacation!

Gotta love "The Villas at Castaway Cay"...

That being said, I think the next resort will be near DL... There are soo many members on the west coast thatit could be marketed to.. Too bad DVC sold that Newport Coast property to Marriot... (See here for more info: http://www.yesterland.com/ncv.html )

Didn't DVC also once have property in Colorado and New York??

I know that DW and I would be more likely to purchase another add-on at an offsite resort than anything else onsite.. (Unless VAKL ever come into being.)

one of the problems that lots of timeshare face is - is offseason. for a skiing resort it is spring and summer..... - by fall the snow should start.

Disney so far has only placed timeshares in areas that are good around the year.

So I don't know if that will change - it will change big time if Colorado - so I am still thinking Hawaii or California

I would love to see DVC resorts at every Disney park around the world.

The ski resorts up here are really working on that problem. Some of the Pocono ones have put in water rides for the summer, mountain biking trails have become HUGE at some of the NE resorts as well. Fall is a big season in New England for leaf peepers too.

I would love to see a place in a new type of area-we have WDW and we have beaches. Lovely, but let's try the mountains!!

You mean I can still actually dream there MIGHT be a DVC/Hawaii!
