I know I'm posting alot, but I am so excited about trip and I am thinking about it alot. Anyways. I now know, thanks to this board, to bring tape for the closet door in my room, but the last cruise we took, it was the next cabin's closet door that kept us up. Has anyone else experienced this?

On my last cruise it was the baby next door! They would let her cry for about 30 minutes in the middle of the night before they would get her. Very annoying. This happened almost every night.:(

People need to realize that their "neighbors" can hear almost everything that goes on in their room and be considerate.

we heard more noise from adjacent stateroom on cruises where we had an adjoining type....i.e. the "door"

Oh no!! That would be awful!! A baby crying would definately be cause to not sleep. Sometimes you may not be able to help it , but most times you can

Last cruise I brought along my white noise machine and any noise my neighbors made had made would never bother me as long as my noise machine was right there next to my head! Its the first thing I pack when I go on vacations, I can't sleep without it!

I always bring a white noise machine too...mostly for hubby's snoring, but it would probably help with noisy neighbors too. The worst we've ever had was in an adjoining stateroom...you could hear everything through the connecting door. It's only been very rarely that we've heard our nextdoor neighbors in a regular stateroom. 5650, where we usually are located, is practically silent as there is only a neighbor on one side.

We didn't have a problem with doors, but with loud-talking neighbors. The night before St. Thomas, the husband and wife had an ongoing debate about whether or not they could bring a passport to the immigration check point the next morning. They must have debated this for at least an hour and a half, until about 2 in the morning. I felt like yelling "Any government-issued photo ID is fine! Read your navigator!!!"

It was very annoying.

We never have had any noise problem. Never heard a peep from next cabin except maybe during the day. We probably to have been lucky also. The only noise we heard was rough seas one night the closet door kept opening and shutting. You should not have a problem.
Have a Great Cruise,
Matt

Arer you ready for this one? Our last cruise the guy next to us kept me awake. He SNORED! Our heads must have been back to back. I got smart after a couple of days and I left the bed and slept on the couch. Can you imagine his poor wife?

We've had loud neighbors - 1 cruise out of 3 so that's not so bad. Most of the noise came when they either (1) got up really early, or (2) got back really late - usually it was the bed being pushed up or pulled down - it creaked very loudly. They talked and sometimes yelled to each other. I figured we weren't alone in the chaos - there were neighbors on the other side of them who, I'm sure, were suffering like us. ::yes:: :hyper:

Since each cabin is constructed in a self-contained metal box, you actually have a double metal wall with an air gap between you and your neighbors. The most noise I’ve heard has always been from the hallway, and even that was never bad (metal door also). Compared to almost any hotel room I’ve ever stayed at, the rooms on the Disney ships are much more quite.
