After this year's "Celebrate" theme/promo is over, does anyone think that they will continue it for next year as well? What about the free ticket on your birthday? Any ideas/rumors as to what may come next if they don't do "Celebrate" next year?

Oh goodness, please make it something better than "celebrate". I think that a Wishes promotion might be an awesome idea. Wish makers, etc...

Hahaha, I want my year of a million dreams back.

I completely agree!:thumbsup2 I loved walking through the parks and having the feeling of anticipation and excitement knowing that at any moment, a member of the Dream Team could approach us! Such a fun and unique promo. :sad1: So sad it's gone.

I wish they wouldn't do anything. I hate these "cheesy" promotions. Then when they have a big anniversary (like AK's 10 year, etc), they either let it slide or it's just lost in the shuffle. I also hate the "celebration" for ALL Disney parks.

I was just about to post the exact same sentiments. :thumbsup2 Why can't it just be business as usual and then really go all out when there is a big anniversary to celebrate??! Celebrations aren't very celebratory when you have them ALL the time. Sort of like it being Christmas every day... how would that be special?

I'm thinking Celebrate might stick around until 2011, the 40th Anniversary of Disney World. Hopefully they will go all out for that BUT no changing the castle! One pink mess was enough.

I agree about the celebrations, I liked it better when each year just had a theme. One year they brought out "Four Parks One World" and "Where Magic Lives" , that kind of thing.

I so totally agree!

A marketing theme is okay, but even those can be a little annoying. Just go and have a great time!

It seems "What Will You Celebrate" will be around through 2010. It's a pretty solid rumor at this point.

It be nice if that had a new promo next year.

But i wouldnt mind doing the b-day thing again.

I know it is a strong word, but I HATE the what will you celebrate thing. I was with a non-Disney friend in the local Disney store and they were playing that song for the 3rd time while we were in there and I went on a rant about how if you aren't celebrating something it is annoying... and a trip to WDW is enough to get excited about in itself- you don't need to come up with some celebration....and why are those balloons on my monorail anyway...

my friend pointed behind me and the CM was standing there with her mouth open looking shocked and a little frightened. :rolleyes1

I really hope they come up with something new- anything!

I would have loved to be there for that. Not sure if you were at the Lakeside Store, but more often than not, we have received far less than magical service there. It made shopping at Target, Meijer, or 7-Eleven enjoyable.

I'm kinda over all the promotions. Like everyone has the need to feel special with a button, or receive something FREE while on vacation. Enough already.
I'd rather see an overall cost reduction lets skip the ads and costly marketing/advertising and bring back the original dining plans appetizers and tips included! Thats just me though....

Great Lakes Crossing, but it was me being less than magical. :rolleyes1
