Who expects long lines at Guest Relations for this one? I do.

Imagine not being made aware of this in advance in order to plan accordingly, get there, and then be told you can't wait in standby.

Might be long lines at Guest Relations, but according to the article...." Disney will not even allow guest relations cast members the ability to offer access to the attraction to appease any disgruntled guests during this period."
If I worked Guest Relations that week, think I would call in sick!

In other news disney has set up a hula hoop station in front of the backlot tour entrance.

I wonder if that's where they'll send people unable to ride TSMM today. Sounds like an even trade, right? ;)

As for maelstrom just saw a report that boats from the ride were reportedly seen on a flatbed truck on the highway in Florida.

I wonder if this is due to the third track they are building. Maybe seeing how FP effects the first two tracks that way they can see what the lines will be when they add the third track.

That's what I'm thinking especially now that sound stage 1 was deemed as a construction zone.

Didn't they test FP+ only at Soarin to a complete disaster (well, they handed out return times, right?)

I don't see how you do this successfully. If you only have 1 % of your customer upset by this, isn't that a disaster?

And the $1.25 Billion in DLP - isn't that just to get them out of their mess? It's nothing to do with new rides, right? How bad do you think Disney wants to get out of that place, though. I can't imagine them shutting the park though - Disney is "too big to fail" right?

In other news - I already have my FP+ for TSMM next Friday, so they can close the standby line, fur all I care.

Just read a post from the spirit. This is a test for the third track that is coming to see how well add capacity to an attraction works. If all goes well a third theater is coming to Soarin... The third track is coming and is already underway.

Woah...

They're building a third track?

You physically talked to the shovels?

Hmmmm

The actual site wdwmagic not a poster had an article that sound stage 1 has been deemed a construction zone CMs aren't allowed in there.

So another fan site - not the Walt Disney Company - put forth the article regarding the construction zone. Does it state specifically that a third track is coming in?

And yet....

That still means nothing.

It is a reasonable conclusion to draw that they are putting in another track. But in no way fact at this point.

I could care less... After 6 years and probably 20 rides...I'm not "thirsting for more"

But...that isn't a problem if they want to expand that ride. (They could also just limit it to first time fastpassers...showing that the repeat value is probably not much more than many other rides...which looks like a LOT when you have fairly low ride capacity)

But...big but...this better be a very low budget appetizer before a BIG MEAL.

Like totinos pizza rolls

Well, call me crazy but - what on God's Green Earth do they have to test....??

They have decades of ride capacity figures - real, imagined, best case, worst case, etc.,

And years of throughput actuals - FP Legacy, SB, FP+......

Do they really think that anyone's going to buy the "we need to test what a 3rd track will do..." story....?

Sorry, that's total BS.

Something else is being tested, and it's not 3rd track throughput.....

Agree. This has nothing to do with a third track. This is testing full out a ride reservation system. I still don't know how this isn't a disaster with those that show up to the park at 2 PM and can't get on the ride no matter what. :confused3 There's gonna be some pissed off customers this week.

Agree...

This is trying to figure out just how big of a deer that the snake will attempt to swallow before they just say "no thank you" and slither up the road.

Global magic band implementation would
HAVE to know if "fastpass only" rides will be tolerated.

The upsell potential would be weighed heavily in the investment decisions.

...or at 9 am...

You couldn't get it online...but no matter - we can take some of the day off spots that everyone assumes (correctly or not) still exist.

With no warning?
Are they gonna pull the classic cop out and have two or three nametags shouting above a mass throng of people moving about?

That would be classic.

When everyone has a fast pass, then no one does. (anyone?)
