Terminally-ill Star Wars fan who saw The Force Awakens early has passed away.

Daniel Fleetwood had just seen the film last week as a dying wish. Very nice gesture from Disney and Lucasfilm to fulfill his wish before passing. Thoughts are with his wife and family.

I'm so glad they let him see the movie. Things seem a little more right in the world knowing they did.

Planet Hollywood rehab will cost 468 jobs in its downtime. Says those laid off will get first priority for rehire when they open back up. Thats certainly a lot of employees. Hopefully they have other jobs or can find something soon.

Sounds sounds like an unbelievably high number of employees but I wonder ...

Is this a common thing, to have many, many part time employees who get relatively few shifts, and practically zero full time employees? Presumably because of all the mandatory benefits and payroll taxes that are slammed on full time jobs.

Yes it's pretty common, wait staff in most restaurants usually has high turnover and they aren't paid like a regular hourly employee so they can have 3 for every one minimum wage employee.

Bob Iger getting involved with bringing two NFL teams to LA. Interesting news for sure.

The articles states:

"The involvement of Iger in the Carson bid is structured so that it does not interfere with his duties at his Burbank company. Iger would oversee the design, construction and operation of the stadium as well as hiring decisions and naming rights."

There's some more business mumbo jumbo in the article, but it's an interesting read to see why he was brought aboard, and what he might be doing post-Disney.
