They should have eliminated the buses for a property wide rail system 20 years ago...

Lets not BS here...

But as far as "dedicated buses"...back in my days - they did a multi year study on buses when the GPS system was installed..and what they found was that the bus allocation can be tied directly to the number of rooms serviced to a high degree of success.

What's they mean? It means that need is highly predictable to the size of the hotels. That makes complete sense given That its a captive audience with limited choices.

So yacht, beach, boardwalk, wilderness lodge, poly, grand Floridian are always going to be candidates for grouping because they just don't have the raw number of rooms.

You want a separate bus for $550 a night?

I mean...it doesn't grow on trees or anything...though I bet that's what imagineering is working on INSTEAD of putting some hussle into this MGM plans ;)
Rent a car. Best way to get around. To / From airport, resort to resort, DTD, the parks, shopping for groceries off property, etc. - all best done with your own vehicle. I know it costs more, but you're already dumping your annual 401k contribution into a family vacation, what's an extra $59 / day for a rental car....

That is very interesting because Perlmutter was reported to have an iron grip on Marvel as a whole and had everything from Disney going through him.

He's also by all reports a rather odd bird, prone to somewhat childish behavior.
Yes, and supposedly Disney could be looking down the road and looking for the younger Kevin Feige to maybe become the next Horn.

I can't even imagine...

I don't think I'll even walk in there anytime soon

It's at least worth a quick morning stop when they let people through the turnstiles at park opening. You can ride TSMM, RnR and ToT in less than an hour and hop to Epcot for the rest of the day. But With letting everyone in early and then releasing them all at once, you're waiting for TSMM at a minimum of 30 minutes.

I just don't understand who at Disney thinks doing this (I believe they've been doing it at AK and Epcot recently also?) is a good idea, and why. Who does it benefit? This works at MK because there is enough to absorb the crowds and pull them in different directions. Not so at the other 3 parks.

That rumor translates to:

"He didnt show unyielding, 100% deference to our marketing/merchandising goals"

Not tolerated in a certain lot
In Burbank

No these reports are from the comic book side of the industry and go back before Disney even bought Marvel. It's a small industry and it gossips a lot. There are all sorts of rumors. Did you know for example that Marvel currently doesn't publish any Fantastic Four comics nor do they appear on much if any current licensed t-shirts, posters etc. Rumor has that is a direct instruction from Perlmutter because he's so pissed about the Fox license.

I would imagine Disney love him though because he also runs things on incredibly tight budgets.

It was just a cheap dig...more of a tongue in cheek.

I wasnt posing a serious point.

More of an homage to this great week - where we celebrate Disney retail

Because one of the top things about WDW is I don't have to drive a car. combine that with spending that money to save 20 minutes a day doesn't appeal to me at all.
