Interesting this is the first I've heard of it and I was in WDW on the 27th.

I had a fastpass on the 27th. When we got there they were passing out the return cards to anyone who didn't have a fastpass. Then they had us all (those with fastpass and those returning with cards) get in the same line. I hadn't pre-ordered my food. If I had, they would have allowed me to bypass the line entirely.

See we had a FP too and and we didn't pre order our food and they had us go into the same line as well but I didn't notice cards being handed out, and the funny thing is we had our FP on the 27th too. The line did go fast tho, I don't think we waited more than 10-15 minutes. I just remember them standing with menus and handing them to people, I don't remember the cards tho. Oh well guess its an official test now.

Thanks for this info - I'll have to keep an eye on this and, if they are still doing it this way in two weeks, get on and pre-order our lunch. I hate even having to pre-order my food in advance.
Do you know if those who pre-ordered still had to go to the registers to pay (where you could maybe make a change or add something if you wanted)? That's what they had us do last year - even though we pre-ordered, we had to order again and then pay.

The first aid in MK is relocating to tomorrow land. The relocation is temporary, and is planned to take place from August 10 to August 19 2014. After that date the original first aid location is planned to be back in operation.

'Move It, Shake It, Celebrate It! Street Party' performances at the Magic Kingdom will be restricted to evenings only on select days next week.

On August 12, 13, 19, 20 and 29 2014, performance times will be 5:40pm and 7pm only. The reduction in performances is due to concrete work taking place on Main Street U.S.A.

Disneyland's version of Star Wars will go where Toontown is so say goodbye to Roger Rabbit.

WDW will get the best version of Star Wars expansions

Disneyland Paris is going to be getting some sort of version of the NGE tech but it won't be the full MM+. Their Hotel NY will also close for a full rehab top to bottom when Newport Bay is finished.

He also said "More DVC?... Why not?" so we can only imagine what that involves.

Planes Fire and Rescue is doing what Disney wanted it to do.

Wowsers! I can google but do you happen to have links for the Star Wars stuff? So excited about all of this (happy we got to ride roger rabbit last year and I am sure DL fans are bummed that this is not going to be their 3rd gate,,,,maybe too town and Pixar will become their 3rd gate in that parking lot??)

Nothing is confirmed this is from a very strong source who posts on the wdwmagic forums. He has been right many many times in the past and I was just passing along what he had said.

Disney and Random House publishing announced that a Frozen sequel will come in print.

1. That would be a shame. DL's Toontown is one of the better themed lands in any Disney park in my opinion. I could see that happening because of the space Star Wars land would require, although I still think that Autopia/submarines/some underused buildings at TL could be changed into SWL.

2. DHS needs a big expansion, and if WDW has something that other parks don't, that's space. I'm sure WDW has the pontential to develop a great Star Wars land, specially if that gives Disney an opportunity to compete against Universal's Harry Potter.

Do they know that land closes every night early for fireworks? Not sure if that would be the smartest thing to do as far as land wise.

I like that your thinking suggests that there will always be fire works in DHS :) but I don't think that's likely to happen....I also wonder if they will come up with another type of nighttime show - maybe laser based or something that won't require a shut down of as many areas?

Toontown in Disneyland closes down every night during and after fireworks. Toontown falls outside the berm. Not sure where Hollywood Studios came into the discussion.

Ah - sorry - my brain is focused on DHS and frozen fireworks with my upcoming trip!

We were at DL last year in September and the fireworks were only 1 night during our 6 night stay...vaguely remember something about an ordinance that they can't do them on certain nights for noise issues during the school year? So maybe it's only a summer issue to close early?

Yes Disneyland can't do a nightly firework show all the time because its in the middle of a city not in its own property like WDW.

This seems like a kindergartener brainstormed in crayon while on a sugar high...

I mean seriously...there's 5 billion in casual expenditures being throw Around here...

And of course many "starting soon"

If there was an Internet police...these guys would be shut down

I feel the same way about Jim Hill. How many "this is happening" items has he posted in the past decade that have never seen the light of day. Monsters Inc. Roller Coaster anyone????

There's way too much opinion based in that recap too. And didn't someone already debunk the Maelstrom closure with getting FPs in October?

Jim's problem is that he doesn't filter out any rumors. He relays everything he hears whether its from an Imagineer or bus driver. And whether it's 2 days from breaking ground or a thought someone had at a meeting yesterday.
