Astro Orbitor refurb has been extended by a week. Plan accordingly....I know I have to go over my plans again to check when I attend Magic Kingdom lol.

Day 4 update DHS and a bit of a pool day.
We spent the morning up until about 10:30 am then it started to thunder and they closed the pool. POR pool is great no complaints. Headed to DHS was raining a bit. Had a reservation for late lunch at sci fi. Great food it was a little slow but our server was good. FP for TSMM got on in 10 minutes I won in our party of five nothing wrong there. Headed to star tours for next fastpass but first stopped to check out wandering oakens trading post. They really limit the amount of people in these places. Star tours was good it may need a short refurb for some repairs but still good. Went around hit great movie ride, that ride is sad it needs an update bad I was bored. Went shopping a bit, and stuck around for the DJ Chill dance party. Then headed to our last FP for rock n roller coaster which was it's 15th anniversary today. I thought that was cool riding on the anniversary. Grabbed a quick bite to eat and then headed to fantasmic got there 30 minutes early and the lines were terrible they were reporting standing room only but did get seats way at the top. Exited that and hit the frozen fireworks. Great show but man was it crowded on that street no room anywhere.

So the Standby project they have been testing on the Anna and Elsa Meet and Greet was tested on Sorian. By 5:00 all cards were given out and things got UGLY. Guest Relations was dealing with a lot of people and others are reporting that people were standing outside Sorian giving heat to Cast Members. If Disney is smart they will stop while they are ahead yet they probably will only push it harder.

Another thread reported that they are continuing this testing today. Should be interesting to see if tonight is better .

Oh Man - if the frozen fun stays until my trip 9/30-10/6, it will be back to the FAp drawing board! but my family will be excited!
They use some of the floats for the Christmas parade I can't see them keeping it any later than it is unless they do something completely different

They reopened the soarin line back to standby at about 7 I believe. I didn't hear about the Anna and Elsa being continued as we had a late FP for them today.

People always give heat to CMs as well and the thing is it's not there fault they have no power on these things. Poor CMs sometimes.

Day 5 roundup. Resort hopping. Earlier in the day I took a trip over to see AKL which I had never been too. Must say stunning resort would love to stay there one day. Then headed over to boardwalk area and check out that area which I do love. At about 3 we headed to MK. Very crowded today. Hub expansions is coming along well looks like they are making some good progress. Rode mine train at night, really a good attraction not an E ticket but solid D great animatronics those are the best part. Had dinner at crystal palace no complaints there. Tea cups could use a new paint job. They are in fact painting the astro orbiter parts red that used to be green. Half of the elevator lift was green other half was red. We saw them working on the people mover and it was running empty tonight. Space mountain exterior could use a washing. Watched MSEP that could use an upgrade or a new parade all together. Watched Wishes great as always. That it may head back there tomorrow for a bit before we leave.

This year "Epcot Food and Wine Festival LIVE!" takes place after park closing. The party takes place in the streets of World Showcase and will keep the party going!

If you are planning to book any form of Premium package for the Food and Wine Festival, now is the time. Reservations are booking quickly.

Some of the new offerings being given to resort guest this year are Food and Wine Festival Magic Bands, skipping the line at the food kiosk, and the after hour party. All available to book at the Walt Disney World website!

I just checked disneyworld.com and tickets are not on sale there for the Food and Wine Fest after dark.

See, I think this system works for Anna and Elsa, but in my opinion it wouldn't work for attractions like Soarin or TSMM. MK has tons of different options to ride if you aren't able to see A&E. But what about Epcot or DHS? You can't limit the number of rides available when your park has just a couple of E-tickets.

They are doing some major work to the people mover and astro orbiter you can smell the paint and see the new colors going in. Lots of work going on you can hear it in the morning. The elevator lift looks like more of an orange in the bright daylight than red.

So I really tried looking up this information myself...really.

Alas I have questions and hope you can clarify. What are the Food and Wine Festival Magic Bands? Are these "Magic Bands" like the ones that get you in the parks and pay for things? Are they themed with Food and Wine? Where can I find these? I tried looking on Disneyworld.com but didn't see anything there. And what did you mean by saying skipping the line at the food kiosk?

Here is the link to the disney parks blog about it.

I don't know of any other type of Magic Bands other than the usual sort that you can use for your admission media and room-charging privileges, and since you MUST be an on-site resort guest to purchase the package, I imagine the themed magic band is an effort to "facilitate" guest spending. I would imagine they will have a F&W design, but otherwise the same as the ones you can get through purchase or resort reservation. (There have already been Star Wars and Frozen themed bands released).

Hope that helps some! A lot of information is unknown at this point. The cost including tax is $211.95 per person if memory serves me.
