There are few ride pairings I’d take over Phoenix and Twister. I’ll always make sure to stop there on my way to Hershey.

Not to mention that train ride into the forest to see the corn eating squirrels! I love Knoebels. No parking fee, Free admission, plenty of covered picnic tables to bring your own lunch. Fantastic theme park!

We really enjoy Knoebels too. It has alot of charm and really good food. Plus it is a good park for us since you don't pay admission to get in since DH is not a big ride fan. We have been there a few times. We brought DS when he was 4 almost 5 years old in the summer to try his first big boy roller coaster....Phoenix. It was a test before we went to Disney in October....to see if he could handle a real roller coaster. Needless to say he loved it!

I am urgently waiting for DD to hit 42" so I can take her to Knoebels when she can ride pretty much every thing. Maybe by the end of the summer.

While September would suck, I still find this encouraging. Obviously things can change, but I'm just glad to know that currently Disney thinks that is worst case. Honestly if we go the whole summer without entertainment/tourism/sports ect though, I worry that we'll never get those things back or at least not for years. At a certain point we have to say enough is enough. We are not there, not by a long shot so please don't misunderstand me as saying we shouldn't all be complying.

Also, I'd like to recommend a show that has nothing to do with Disney at all. If you have HBO, please give My Brilliant Friend a try. It's in Italian and it's very dialogue heavy, but so, so good. Second season has already started, but first season is on demand.

Bob Iger Thought He Was Leaving on Top. Now, He’s Fighting for Disney’s Life.

Reading this article, the writer seems to set Iger up as the knight in shining armor while planting the seed that Chapek may become a pawn in the process. Certainly an interesting read. Here are a few quotes:

"The former C.E.O. thought he was riding into the sunset. Now he’s reasserting control and reimagining Disney as a company with fewer employees and more thermometers. "

"The new, nominal chief executive is referred to, almost kindergarten style, as “Bob C,” while Mr. Iger is still just “Bob.” And his title is “executive chairman” — emphasis on the first word. "

"And Disney’s endlessly troublesome question of succession — which had finally, for a couple of weeks, seemed settled — may be open again. One person close to the company said Mr. Iger assured Mr. Chapek that the extraordinary circumstances would be taken into consideration in the board’s evaluation of Mr. Chapek’s performance. But in reality, two hard, unpredictable years will determine if he can hold the job. Two other executives who were passed over for Mr. Chapek — Kevin Mayer and Peter Rice — remain at the company. Definitely an interesting situation - makes sense to have someone with more experience during these tumultuous times and can help ease Chapek into the job

Optically probably would have been better if set up as a formal transition period from the start rather that what we now have of Over come back to "safe the day", but is what it is

That's a good point. I know I get sticker shock when I buy things at Disney, but I usually shrug it off. It's not like I am NOT going to buy the $10 hot dog when it "used" to be $9 .. I will just complain about it more.

Hopefully this means though that they will severely discount the hotels to get people IN the parks. A $10 hot dog is worth 0 if no one wants to come to the parks out of fear (or lack of disposable income).

Interesting story in today's Orlando Sentinel about Carol Stein. She's a popular Disney CM who plays piano at R&C. Old timers will also remember her as the pianist at the Comedy Warehouse.

This is completely inaccurate. Just look at the pictures of mile long lines at food banks to show that a large portion of the population is suffering financially. I don’t think anyone is looking at the $2400 as Disney spending money, they’re more looking at it as rent or only partial rent.
