I thought this article from a couple months ago really described the MLB product well and Disney's interest.

Disney has given up on the Muppets? If so why are they adding the Muppets to Liberty Square, and a Muppets restaurant to DHS?
Yeah, but there's also two main differences between those two: the weather in California is a lot drier than in Florida, and Pandora has lots of fake vegetation. It should take a while before the paint starts to fade away, but still, hopefully it won't be too difficult to maintain.
Has any one like Beverley!!! But I will enjoy some new flavors
Dory pulled in an estimated 13.4 million yesterday and that puts it around 52 million for the weekend. Seems 40 million was quite a small estimate even on my part. BFG didn't pan out as well, with only 7 million and looking at more 23 million despite very positive fan reaction to it (and critics). Maybe it will mean it will have a better run but people will still call it a disappointment. I am looking forward to seeing it$40MM for Dory would put it in record breaking territory in terms of week to week drop. (two consecutive weeks with less than a 50% drop)
Much more likely to be $30MM, $35 on the very high end.

If you want to talk about massive amounts of rock work, look at BTMRR and Splash. They've been around for a long time, and IMO, look pretty good. I think Disney has a handle on maintenance.
BFG will record as a flop - no saving it at this point.
No wonder Disney keeps announcing these live-action remakes to their classic animated films. Every original film they release performs very poorly. Shame.
The BFG isn't original though. Other than Jungle Book, I wouldn't say the live action movies have been much better. Some have done ok at the box office, but nothing amazing. We don't have a big enough sample size yet. Beauty and the Beast will probably make a ton of money, but we have no idea if it will be any good. You are right that trying to make original movies is much riskier, but that's not just a Disney thing. That's a every major studio in the last 5-10
I like it too. Reminds me a very hoppy ipaI actually like the Beverly. Wish I could add a little gin to it.

Cinderella did well. Is there another BFG movie? I've never heard of it. Sure it's a book but making that into s movie doesn't make it not original. The BFG isn't original though.
