News Round Up 2016

Yep posted that. Seems its more for DLR but I would imagine some updates to DHS as well.

interesting that they would update DLR over DHS considering I think DLRs is already better (or at least the dragon is better) - though I guess with the reworking of Rivers of America they might need to adjust it anyway - or might any current elements be visible from Star Wars Land and they not want to take away from the immersion so it would need some adjusting anyway?

Okay, is it me or does it look like nothing is anywhere near done except for all the stupid rock work?
Carsland was pretty similar to this in terms of how that construction went. Rock work is really what takes the longest and it one of the most expensive pieces of the puzzle. I think we will see a summer to fall 2017 opening.

It's a special event where you pay to get in to the special event, only to find that there's an even more special event INSIDE the special event that you have to pay for again...this goes on for 16 times until you get to the final most VIP level, and you find yourself on a shuttle to the airport.

Well, as long as you get a cupcake, it's all good.

Disney posted something on their Instagram about an announcement from Walt Disney Animation Studios... does anyone know what this is in reference to?

Refillable popcorn buckets are coming to the parks.

I like this addition. Not that I need more popcorn but I like it.
Alright visited my friends at the studios yesterday for a wonderful 12hr shift and not only did I learn about the new popcorn program, I got to do it!

A few facts.
  • Buckets cost 11$. At DHS they are only sold at Hey Howdy Hey in Pixar Place, other carts have SW non refillable buckets.
  • Buckets can be refilled for 1.50$ at any cart in any park.
  • Bucket must be one of the programs buckets, not an older 2013Christmas one that's sitting at home with a potted plant growing in it.
  • Again they can be refilled at any park
  • They are advertised as single day refills only however.. There is no marking on the bucket specifying day or purchase nor do we ask for a receipt.... (I'd still hold on the the reciept tho.)
  • When refilling you must open the bucket, set on the counter and slide it towards the CM. The CM CANNOT TOUCH THE BUCKET at all. This is per Orange Counties health regulations.
  • CM will fill the bucket to the top, they will not crown it up tho due to the lack of touching in the filling process.
  • Refills are Snack plan eligible, initial bucket purchase is not.
  • And finally, it's popcorn, Disney popcorn! You can't go wrong here folks.

Due to the high number of repeat guests, DLR receives updates to its attractions more often than WDW does. Fantasmic has already seen many upgrades over the years. World of Color is only a few years old and I've lost track of how many changes they've made.
