News Round Up 2016

*sigh* WHY do they always do this. This is the only area I can think of where they break one of the main principles of Disney which is under promise, over deliver. Don't tell us about how great something major is going to be and then make it suck!
They fired Bruce Vaughn the head imagineering because of these budgets. So far no major budget cuts to star wars land. The original budget for toy story land was $400 million.

Sorry, but I'm with Disney budget Nazis on this one. $400 million for a kiddie coaster and spinner ride and QS restaurant Is absurd.
That is true. However Disney rides cost way more than their supposed to. They should be able to do everyone originally planned for $250 million and not have to cut anything.

The art house has been uncontrolled for years...

And the accountants see no desire to deliver quality to the masses when they'll consume crap at higher prices.

Hate me or no...but go back and read my Kreskin posts on these "budget" and "announcement" things...

Canary in the coal mine.

But the way...what did i miss, big fella?

All of the great openings today of things you don't think are worth anything. That's what you missed.

You want to wave the pom poms
For these?

I'm not saying anything for that reason alone...enjoy.
The net gain for an exploded customer base is the Star Wars fireworks.

But I'll reserve final judgment on all of them.

I just don't see how you can say nothing is happening. Sure it might not be what you want but the masses are different. I digress.

OUCH!! That sound like a major difference in $$. What do they mean by the lift hill? Doesn't a roller coaster need that to gain speed?

I expect no one to agree with me...

But I'll tell you how it "can be said"...

Disney springs is the most significant opening so far...little play...reviews "mixed"

Animal kingdom scramble mode...more to come hopefully

Castle stage show...can't even comment

Maelstrom gone...frozen replaces. Ultimately a plus but still a repurpose.

Soarin gone...Replaced with Soarin...net...I don't know?

Studios fireworks good...coupled with bad news on other fronts.

So much going on...ill keep watching and we'll see.

I've said it before and I'll say it again this thread isn't for big news but the smaller stuff like the castle stage show and Soarin film. People like this new stuff so I post it.

Great fireworks. Hopefully I'll get to see the show in person.

As far as the budget cuts goes... Yeah, I mean... Let's be honest here. Toy Story land shouldn't have been 400 million to begin with. That's an insane amount of money for the stuff that was announced. Carsland was, what? 500 million? Both Disney and Imagineering need to learn how to manage their budgets. I say it over and over.

On the other hand, it sucks that these things keep happening. We should, as customers, demand the same quality that made Disney the company it is today to begin with. I don't care how many Shanghai's you open, you have a responsability towards the customer base that is actually generating profit and making your shareholders happy. If this budget cuts along with the Disneyland 60th rumors become true, I'll be really dissapointed. It's a shame that we have allowed the company to lower their own standards while increasing their prices.

No problem...why ask me
To explain myself?

I got tagged...I responded...it wasn't by you...and you responded.

See...it's ok to mock my stances...but then I defend and nobody wants to deal with that.

Sarcasm does require a tad of confrontation, no?

I mean...it's one thing if I'm actively messing with someone (which rarely happens)...it's another if it "pokes the bear". If I take myself out of it...outta respect for everyone who wants happy thoughts (really bad week for that, no?)...then what is the issue with that?
