News Round Up 2016

The track is the the same except there is no cottage scene at the end with Snow White, the dwarfs, and the old lady.

in the POV the train seemed the pause at the end though where that scene would be ... does it just pause and you look at nothing or is there something else there? (or was this just a test?)

It's probably for station clearance from another train, which makes sense to have something there to occupy riders attention while theyre waiting.

Also thanks everyone on the clarification to my question

I'm guessing it pauses to wait for the next train to clear.

Seems like an odd thing to leave out. Doesn't that provide a conclusion to the story? Without it.... it's less of a story and more of a simple themed track.

I was just looking at the Frozen photos and saw a depressing thing. No more Helly Hansen clothing??? Will it get a new home in Norway or someplace else at Epcot? I've bought plenty of HH over the years during my trips to WDW.

No idea on that.

It could be a cultural thing. Something like old hags are not supposed to be evil or something like that... Who knows. The concept of European fairytales differs vastly from Chinese folklore, and many are not very familiar with a lot of the Disney adaptations.

I was there last week and they still had the HH clothing (I was so tempted to buy some! love it), just in a different section of the shop. Back in the day when you would come out of Maelstrom, instead of the first room (which was filled with Frozen stuff), it was in the next room, if that makes sense.

That WOULD be disappointing, but just because that one area doesn't have it anymore doesn't mean it's gone. I can't imagine they could fill that ENTIRE shop with Frozen junk - I mean merchandise.

MY wife would miss the Laila from Geir Ness perfume there. She buys most of her perfumes at Epcot.

You know, I just realized something. And I'm sure that others will disagree with me, but between Mexico, Norway and China, I find very little reason to even go over on that side of the WC anymore.

Restaurants are mediocre at best, (just my opinion - I know some folks LOVE them, just like I really like Tony's and others rank it in the top 5 worst in all of WDW....:)), shopping areas hold no interest for me, and the rides are also not my thing. Since I don't have small children, I see no reason to even go near Norway.

The acrobats and dancers in China are interesting, and I like the Margarita's from the vendor at Mexico...but that's about it.

Don't mean to be a downer on these, it's just my opinion. Not trying to step on anyone else's likes/loves...

Well that's the about the same distance as between Mexico and Canada which has no countries. That said-we will soon find out if you are in the minority on this, unless that's your point.

I believe she prefers "Old Hag" ........ in lieu of "Witch". Old "lady" could be misleading. :thumbsup2 She's no lady.
