News Round Up 2016

We're getting towards the usual time for that I think, right?

The big question is probably how many rooms will be available, and for how long.
Yep. Also what the requirements will be. Last year you were required to get a park hopper or water park and more option.

Last year it was announced in the last week of April.

The bigger question might be what hoops you have to jump through to get the discount.

Rumor

Free dining will be back and out soon. Pete Werner said one of the Dreams TAs saw a glitch that showed it online.
People are going to lose their mind if this is true after all the speculation that it wasn't coming back! We'll have to be prepared for a week where the website and phone lines are either down, craching or occupied. Kinda wished they would be able to make sure they have the technological capacity to avoid the site crashing, for other folks not booking this, it'd be nice to be able to look through information on their site or phone lines without spending hours trying to get it to work. (side note: I'm pretty sure they can handle it but decide not to)

It's been speculated to not come back for years. They just keep making it more difficult though.

True and although this is very popular there are IMHO better strategies and discounts to keep to a budget at Disney.

I feel anything that was at the World's Fair needs to stay in some form

Though, having just ridden the version in Disneyland for the first time I actually liked the addition of the Disney characters - they were done in a style that real fit

And in most cases, they were well-integrated into their areas and not so much "Hey, look at us, we're Disney characters!" that stuck out amongst the other dolls.

They still get park access I believe.

Instead of being at MK and listening to the concert, or at least hearing the music while on rides, you have to leave to hear the concert at WWoS?

The upside is that they don't have to close the park early.

Bad jokes are just bad jokes.

Walt Disney said both these things:
"We're selling corn. I like corn."
"When I was a kid, a book I read advised young artists to be themselves. That decided it for me. I was a corny kind of guy, so I went in for corn."

If you don't like corny jokes, you might just be visiting the wrong theme park. Disney Parks are full of them. Just not all of them a said out loud. (See that recent post showing pictures of the Rivers of Light area - I really want myself some fresh brewed "Ye-Tea".
