News Round Up 2016

It's complicated. From what LoL is saying they are separate columns in the ledger. That, somewhat, firewalls Parks and Resorts from losses accrued by Shanghai. They aren't directly responsible for it.

That said, Disney could at the board level decide to cut budgets in Parks and Resorts in order to free up capital of Shanghai.

Exactly

Did anyone see the Spirit post on wdwmagic? If anyone wants to complain about the current state of the parks or the recent hours/entertainment cuts can get the contact info of the Chiefs or the WDW President and send them a line. It sounds like there was some caution given in how your email should be worded in case these guys decide to get agitated and threaten a ban from the parks. Not sure how that would play out but interesting nonetheless.

They're not gonna do That...I don't think they'll open up mk to full alcohol...and that's moving farther down a slippery slope.

I agree. I just thought that with the shock and awe of alcohol at BOG dying down that the might try and sneak another one in. After all, as you have referenced many times, the revenue talks.

Do you think each night will be crowded?

When I attended MNSSHP last year, we went on a Thursday evening, the end of September, and it was insanely crowded. Trying to watch the castle show was a nightmare with the huge hoard of people and parents putting kids on their shoulders, so short people like myself couldn't see very well. I'd say most days are crowded, since it is a special event.

If there was more actual NEWS...the days would go faster and there wouldn't be much need for comment.
Question for you. What do you consider news? I post parks blog news, photo updates, construction updates, permits, etc. that's what people seem to want yet you say there is no news. This is Disney not New York people aren't being shot or run over by drunk drivers.

Well, according to at least half the posters on the threads talking about the new security measures and ban on adult costumes a couple months ago, MNSSHPs will be a ghost town. Nobody will go to the parties if the adults aren't allowed to play dress up. We'll see.

Yep saw it. Emailing guest relations has never really done anything and he's right in the fact that sending it to the big guns is how you may in fact get something done. Of course you don't want to get crazy because that could cause problems with the person you are emailing.

I doubt that and it's still unclear just how strict those guidelines will be for the Halloween parties.

I didn't know they banned adults from dressing up at MNSSHP! That's half the fun! :sad2:

It's really not clear what is going to happen at the parties. Right now there are svere restrictions on adults wearing costumes in the parks, with no exception stated for the Halloween parties. Of course those threads had their fair share of hysterics wailing that this ruined their lives and they'd never go to WDW again. Calmer voices thought that additional policies that covered the parties MIGHT come out at a later date. That's what I meant by wait and see.

LOL. Most people at MNSSHP don't dress up in the first place. The place will be packed as always.
