The fireworks show sounds like it is going to be unbelievably amazing. I'm more excited about it than ROL, but then again I'm a Star Wars nerd. I'm disappointed however, that I finally convinced one of my non-disney friends to go on a trip with me, and we will be there the week BEFORE April 4th. I'm wondering if we moved it to Memorial Day (the other weekend we were considering) if the new fireworks show would have started by then. I probably wouldn't consider moving it for the other stuff.

I agree, the current Star Wars fireworks show is good and this is even going to be better.

Sounds like a nice plussing actually, and I assume the fireworks show will benefit from the new launch pad they're building. They just need to get the actual park sorted out now.

The comparison I was making wasn't to Tokyo because of Disneyland...

What I was saying is the Chinese economy is In pretty big trouble...their manufacturing growth/expansion is now looking like they may have mortgaged the farm...much like Brazil.

What I meant was that the Chinese government could change/lose the ability of propping up a failing park in Shanghai...

Remember they built a multi year hoax for 2008 Olympics...it was all a sham...and they are notorious for paying people "just to live" or "just to work"...they may not have the economic muscle to do things like that forever.

Actually they could prop that sort of stuff up for a very long time. It's one of the advantages of being a semi-communist autocratic regime. At that point however the money earned in China might not be worth very much anywhere else.

To be fair they did actually vary it a bit. "This new nightly show", "The show", "The show", "This new show". Not great but not really a full on grammar faux pas.

The important thing is that we all understand it's a show!

Semantics. It was close enough to make me twitch. I think we get that it's a SHOW! Lol, how could you not, after that? Still, a thesaurus would be helpful.

I'd be amazed if it doesn't at this point. They're clearly spending money on this.

I know enough not to say anything to my son one way or another, but I'd rather not disappoint myself too! I'm already kinda bummed at how much has been closed so this would be a very nice addition for sure.

They are building a new permanent fireworks bunker and launch site for DHS. I think fireworks are now going to be part of the long term plan.

They're also going all in on advertising DHS as "the Star Wars park" so it's a pretty safe bet they will be Star Wars fireworks for the foreseeable future.

KInda true of course, but this will be top our list when open, over any ride they have at least currently.
