News Round Up 2016

Honestly, I'm surprised they have allowed it to go on for so long. It sort of "spoils" the magic (but I still look!), and maybe they don't want competitors seeing some of the techniques/technologies? :confused3 But, in this day of technology and social media, I think it's a losing battle.

As someone who takes a bunch of pictures of the progress, I would like them to be able to point to a policy that prohibits it.

If they were so worried wouldn't they just put up bigger walls to hide it? It's obviously hard to hide something as big as the mountains but still. It doesn't make much sense as to why I can't take pictures of progress.

They have put up some foliage

I see Avatar construction and all these "hangy-downy" trees and whatnot and all I can think about is what it will be like when native wildlife moves in. I think I'll have to skip Pandora. :(

I can see them wanting to discourage folks from going the extra mile for a photo.....like going off path or something.

As to characters at Disney Springs? why not, a couple meet and greets to draw people in, and a chance to run across random characters might be just enough to draw a few more people in.

Still think they could use one or two pay per attractions. Need not be super themed, but something to keeps kids busy while mom and dad shop.

@mike_71 & @rteetz - I'm not saying they SHOULD restrict it, just that I'm surprised that they haven't restricted it. I mean, you can't take photos backstage and this is kind of backstage-y.

As for DS, you know, if they'd show a little love to DQ, I would think that would pull a lot of people over there...

Install a Goofy movie video, and change the soundtrack. Install new signs. Add a Goofy and Max meet and greet. Redo the exit gift shop.

Actually thinking about it, it'll likely only be closed for a week and then do soft openings.

:D

I think it's a great idea! and certainly not so far fetched .... especially given the story of GMR turning into a Mickey ride ......... this makes much more sense than that.

Let's not forget that Steven Tyler did not take the video "enhancement" well and responded as such. It wouldn't take too much to keep it virtually the same minus the existing band for some new "characters."

My pick would be Guardians with an "Awesome Mix" of music.
