News Round Up 2016

Any traction to the contemporary rumor indicates they can't get the poly tower up...yet...

It also - you're gonna love this - makes it easier to take the Monorail offline longterm...just sayin'

The spur route of the monorail does go through the side of this property-- boy would that make a mess if they tried to use it for transportation.
Isn't that the truth. They would need to switch the monorail onto the express loop every time a train comes and back to the barn spur when returning. I don't see that ever happening. While you can switch the trains to the resort loop, that now involves 2 switches. A monorail switch is not quick or easy like a train switch. It takes time, lots of time.

Boo to you parade this year the candy unit will be themed to Wreck it Ralph, including Goofy being moved to the opening and somebody else driving the candy machine(I'm assuming Vanellope) and a new ground unit.

Source?

Yeah I'm sure they won't do it. (well pretty sure).

I keep waiting for the announcement of the new DVC outside epcot on the parcel they just had re designated for buildable-- which has the epcot monorail track running through it.....

And of the three he posted, the Preview Center is the one I liked the most.
But I also don't understand the appeal of Figment (probably because I only know the ride in it's current version).

The perks of making it an online sale only is that they can churn out designs quickly since they are printed on demand, so why not go with some of the seemingly stranger choices
I actually went to the preview center when I was a kid so I can't wait to get that one!!

Might be a cultural thing. That'd never cross my mind seeing that sign, but I guess it's up to different interpretations. Thanks for clarifying.

I've never noticed the hand gesture in RnRc and we've been riding it yearly, sometimes twice yearly since 2006. Also, had NO clue it was an offensive hand gesture?! Down here, it's a gang sign for "Eastside Boys." haha. Learn something on this Disney Board EVERYDAY!!

Just to balance it out, from another female's perspective, I always found it quite funny.

Disney found a way to make a real looking & interactive lightsaber.

I would have to guess this is for battle against the First Order attraction. If so then WOW!

I'd heard awhile back (from a fairly reliable source) that they were going to change JTA and use this type of technology in it. JTA would be moved inside to accommodate. Not sure if those plans will be part of Star Wars land or not.

That technology sounds fascinating. Hopefully they'll iron out all the possible kinks in time for Star Wars land. Sounds like a really cool experience, but it also sounds like it could have a bunch of technical issues. You never know with these things.
